Tennessee's Hendon Hooker is "Shockingly Great"

This analysis doesn't give me much hope for next season. Hooker has something special, not confident last season's success can be repeated very easily.

Just look at what Heupel has done with virtually every single QB in his offense, from coordinator to head coach, and your worries should be eased.

On the other hand, it would be hard for any QB of any generation to be as good as Hooker performed.

Unless he's a Raider...nope! Sorry but player allegiances in college go out the window once they go to the NFL. As a Raiders fan, I was indifferent when Peyton went to the Colts. But when he went to the Broncos I wanted him sacked on every play!

I'm a firm believer when Former Vol players do good in the NFL it will help recruiting.

Im 100% bandwagon fan of the NFL.

I was a Colt until Irsay cut Peyton. I became a bronco when he was signed in Denver.

I was a Chief when Berry was there and again for the Super bowl in hopes Trey Smith got his due.

I’d really love for HH to be a Titan and have a few year’s success there.

I'm sure it does. Be that as it may, if a former Vol is a Bronco, Chief, Charger, Cowboy, Patriot, or Raven I'm going to root against them because I passionately hate those teams! Any other team and I'm just indifferent.

Yes. Unless it’s the Packers or Vikings. I’m a Bears fan
What about the Lions?

A lot Vols became Colts fans and Broncos fans because of Peyton. I imagine if Hendon has the same type of success it will happen again with fans following him.

Doubt it. Peyton was/is the Volgod despite having never won a NC at Tennessee. Tee did win a NC, but isn't much appreciated, so I expect at best a margin nod to Hendon, not much more. And that despite throwing fewer interceptions. However, I am curious about what would happen if Javelin Joe rips every single season passing yards and passing TD to confetti, plus maybe wins a NC. It would be interesting to see what status Vols fans accord him after he moves on.

I really don't buy the "Nobody recognizes Tee Martin" bit. He's gotten a ton of praise first of all. He is the QB of a NC team, and a good one. He's gotten ALL that in spades. He did get swept up as a coach in a bad situation that may have tarnished him to some.
But, anyone who knows even basic football knows / knew that Tee was not in Peyton's league as an INDIVIDUAL player. It's not even debatable really. He couldn't make a NFL roster while PM is debatable as the GOAT.
Tee was a good college QB, but only started 2 years vs 4 and was good not great. He's a legend in my book because he was a key part of the 98 team.

Tee Martin knew how to properly beat the brakes off of somebody in Williams Brice …. That’s for damn sure….

1. I did not say nobody recognizes Tee Martin, so, by default I'm not selling it. 2. Nor did I say Tee was in Peyton's league, so I'm not selling that either, not even the discount aisle. Your overreaction has you exploding my comments way out of context. Which is typical of Volgod worshipers (actually, I am one of them) who with magma-like passion rush to defend even imagined offenses against him. Mind you, Pacaya, Peyton deserves every iota of the high praise he gets, and his ambassadorship to the UT, continues to rightfully add to that praise. Yet somehow, my daring to accurately state that: Tee did win a NC, but isn't much appreciated, resulted in an effusive eruption. Justifying the crux of my post that I doubt the statement that Hooker will provoke the same level of reaction to our man, Peyton where: A lot Vols became Colts fans and Broncos fans because of Peyton. I imagine if Hendon has the same type of success it will happen again with fans following him. Surely, you're not saying I'm disallowed to THINK that? Relax Pacaya, last time you rumbled and cleared your throat was 2014, no need to do it again at this time.

Well, I am a Colt and have been since Unitas so that won’t change. However, because I like HH
and want to wish him well, he cannot become a titan. That would also be his career death knowing how badly they have botched highly ranked qbs. Anyone remember Vince Young? I would love to have HH as a Colt but don’t see that happening.

Would love HH to go to the Titans, I think he will do well wherever he goes.

Vince Young only has himself to blame for his NFL failures.

Will you guys become a fan of whatever team drafts him?

You kidding? Does a bear poop in the woods? Does the Pope French Kiss the ground of a country he really loves?? Was Tom Brady an idiot for letting Gisele go??

I will root hard for Hendon Hooker no matter what NFL team picks him up. I am a Packer fan but, if the Bears draft him and he plays for them, Go Bears. HH and CJH helped resurrect Saturdays in the Fall again for this ol UT fan, and I could not be more proud of both and, intensely appreciative.
