What say ye if we fired Pruitt after a 1-6 record and hired Jim Chaney as interim. LSU did this with Ed Orgeron and it worked out great for them. If Chaney is able to muster up 3 or 4 wins, maybe against uab, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and maybe South Carolina, then he stays, if not, we get Mike Leach, Hugh Freeze or Les Miles on campus. Let's say for the sake of argument that he is able to get things rolling at the end of the year. We don't fire the whole staff (to limit buyouts), but we will make some key moves. We promote Tee to OC and do our best to get Sam Pittman on campus(pay him a million and a half bucks idc) then we see if we can get Kevin Steele as DC. Chaney wouldn't be the most expensive head coach so we could dish out a lot of money to the assistants, just as LSU has done. I think this is maybe the best option for the program at this point. We're not going to hire a Saban, Swinney or Smart so we might as well try to find an Orgeron. Thoughts?

So we are going to fire Pruitt after the toughest part of our schedule?

No, you don't want to fire Pruitt. He'll be on the payroll anyway so make him a "special advisor" to the UTAD. Next, hire Barry Switzer as interim. He's a proven winner and he's only 81. Schnellenberger is 85, but he's 6-0 in bowl games. They would be a great hire. And we could hire Paul Johnson from Georgia Tech to run the offense. We could create a coaching staff of the Wizards that Were ... empty the old folks home and get those dudes back on the field.

Pruitt is here for 5 more years. Five. Folks just need to get on board with that.

These threads are the absolute dumbest I have seen in a very long time. I don't think people went this full on retard during the debacle that was a coaching search!!!!!
Thread after thread of "Far Coach" or calling coaches names and polls after polls and they're every one the freaking same!!!!!! Holy smokes enuff is enuff!!!!

NO! NO! NO!

No! I will admit that after the UF game I was frustrated, done with Pruitt(even posted that here)...but, after taking a step back, I realize that was a lot more emotional than logical...

The man needs several years to turn this around. There are no quick fixes in this situation...

just looking at the schedule I would say 6-6 with a bowl bid..so 7-6. Not seeing too many wins on the 2020 schedule.
  • Sept. 5 — Charlotte
  • Sept. 12 — at Oklahoma
  • Sept. 19 — Furman
  • Sept. 26 — Florida
  • Oct. 3 — Missouri
  • Oct. 10 — at South Carolina
  • Oct. 24 — Alabama
  • Oct. 31 — at Arkansas
  • Nov. 7 – Kentucky
  • Nov. 14 — at Georgia
  • Nov. 21 — Troy
  • Nov. 28 — at Vanderbilt
Why is Georgia so late in the year?

Make it stop
Know this is free press forum, but dang, it's becoming waste of time to come on here and see every random thought variation of replace Pruitt thread dominating content.

No way he's fired...unless at end of the year if they just don't get any better and win only 1-2 games...and even then it's highly unlikely.

Okay, do it. Let's us know when its done.

This was a good idea, because the results tell us all something about ourselves. As much as we complain about Pruitt and the awful performance of the team so far this season, we are in the end realistic and understand that he's going to be here at least until sometime next season.

Which brings the question, why do we publicly criticize in such a hateful way?
