Tennessee's Hardest Hitters

But, there's something about the LB position getting that running start that really lends itself to the "headhunter" role.

Man, I hope we get another one of those soon.

Strong safeties as well. Nevin McKenzie is looking to be one of the next great hitters at UT too

McCoy and Mayo are both legit lights-out guys and Karl has broken legs before (Caldwell in 05)

Rico McCoy is a headhunter, and from the looks of his recruiting video Chris Donald is too.

As Borat says: "Great Sucess"

"Great Success" :lolabove:

one of my favorite lines was "King in the castle, king in the castle"

I watched '95 alive everyday when i was a kid so Leonard Little is definetely up there and Steve White had some pretty vicious hits. Chris Donald's highlights are pretty crazy...hopefully he'll be the next great hitter.

Daniel Brooks was a bust overall. But he could lay some hits. I remember some hits he made on special teams against Auburn in the SECG in particular.

for my money 10 yrs later I still remember a special teamer and back up DB Craig Simpson #38 nearly knocking him self out vs UCLA on the kickoff team...Kid was a missle. Only big hit that has ever made me unconciously jump up and give it the oooooh......:salute: :salute: to the kamakazees on Special Teams

Little played linebacker for his first year or two, right? That's when he was a real monster hitter.

I can still see the sack he put on Fredie Kitchens in an Alabama game. For the record in 3 seasons at UT He ranked second to Reggie White on UT's all-time sack list with 28

Greg Johnson and Victor Brown were animals on special teams. I suggest anyone w/ videos of games in '93 to watch these two on kickoffs. One thing about Johnny's teams, they sure knew how to play on special teams.

don't know if anyone remembers, but Greg Johnson laid out a guy for UCLA in '94 on the opening kickoff. actually fractured a bone in his own face from that hit. one my favorite hits ever.
