Tennessee's Bowl Game???

There may be more than 7 SEC teams eligible for bowl games this year. Right now I see it like this:

"Guaranteed" Bowl appearances
1. LSU
2. UF
3. Bama (3 wins with Houston, Ole Miss and UL Monroe yet to go)

"Likely" Bowl appearances
4. Arky (1 win with N.Texas, UTC, Ole Miss and FL Intl to go, should get #6 from Auburn, UTK or Miss St)
5. Kentucky (4 wins with FAU to go, should get #6 from Vandy, Miss St, or UTK)
6. UGA (3 wins with Ole Miss and Troy to go, should get #6 from Vandy, UTK, Auburn, KY or GaTech)
7. S.Carolina (3 wins with UNC to go but plenty of competitive games remaining to get 2 more, will know if SC is a "bubble" team after Miss State game)

"Bubble" teams
8. Tennessee (2 wins with Vandy and LaLaff to go, assuming Vandy does not pull an upset the Vols will need to win on the road at Starkville and probably pull an upset)
9. Miss State (3 wins with UAB and Ole Miss to go, but must pull another upset to get 6)
10. Auburn (2 wins with Vandy, Ole Miss and TN Tech to go, but will also need an "upset" win along the way)
11. Vandy (2 wins with E.Mich, Miami OH, and Wake to go, will need and SEC upset to get to 6)

For Ole Miss to have any shot they will have to beat their two remaining OOC patsies, take care of Auburn and Miss St on the road, and pull off a David vs. Goliath upset somewhere else along the line. Unrealistic in the extreme, imo.

Liberty Bowl in Memphis or Music City Bowl in Nashville. UT might get in at 6-6 if they can beat one of the following: SC, GA, Ark, Ala, or Kentucky.

I really, really can't believe we are talking bowl games at this point. There are way too many things that have to happen for us to go bowling anywhere. it is not out of the realm of possibility that we make it to the cotton or chik-fil-a, but we could also spend christmas in Memphis or Shreveport. Maybe when it is all over we will deserve a bowl. I hope so becasue right now we don't.

5-7 At Best, Maybe 4-8. This Team Will Not Make A Bowl Game Nor Do They Deserve A Bowl. Ut Cannot Run The Ball, Cannot Stop The Run, Cannot Tackle, Cannot Cover A Punt Or Kick Return, Cannot Throw A Deep Ball. This Team Could Not Win The Southern Conference Let Alone Compete For The Sec. This Is The Worse Team I Have Seen Ut Field Post Bill Battle. Call Me A Nega Vol If You Want. I'm Just Calling It Like I See It And It Aint Pretty!

And if they somwhow make it to a bowl game, I wouldn;t mind seeing them in the Liberty Bowl so I have a short 30 minute drive. :good!:

Do you have a program in your computer that capitalizes every word or do you do that manually? I guess you're saying the glass is half empty, right?

My cap lock was on, sorry. I would say we are scraping the bottom of the glass. But on the glass half full side, nowhere to go but up from here.

Fulmer said they worked 15 minutes on tackling this week so there should be no more problems with that.:)
And I have a funny feeling we will be playing Penn St. in the toilet bowl this year.

talking about trying to slip in a lower tier bowl should not even come up with a program such as Tennessee...i realize eventually all scholls will have somewhat down years but we have been slipping for 10 years....and this is where we are and as long as we travel down this same road with a one track mind we'll stay here...i'm all for winning out but it's time for a reality check.
