Tennessee's Biggest Problem In Dayton.

Because anybody is beatable...seriously. Louisville is the only team with a #1 seed that actually won their conference tourney. North Carolina won one game in the ACC tourney without Lawson. Uconn and Pitt didn't win a game. Any team can get hot. West Virginia beat Pitt by 14 in Pitt's first game in the Big East Tournament. Can UT play with WV in the experts opinion here on VolNation?

ND trounced Looserville @ Looserville , so I kinda see your logic

So you're basing your argument on the transitive property?

Hat.. kind of off topic, but I know it is very very early, but wouldn't it be easy to say that the SEC will be better next year than what it is this year? I mean just look at Ole Miss next year, I think they will have a hell of a team. There just has to be some kind of light down the tunnel for the SEC.

Pittsburgh is exactly the kind of team that this version of UT can't and won't beat. We'll be lucky to crack 50 points. I'd say UT/Oklahoma State is a toss-up.

To the wide-eyed optimists looking for a miracle run: the best shot at that would have been to have been put in the South with North Carolina and Duke.

The SEC will be better, but it's still not going to be great. If Varnado doesn't lose his mind and enter the draft and Ole Miss gets healthy, they'll both be really good. However, LSU will fall off considerably. The East will be considerably better across the board.

Oklahoma state is an up tempo offense, gets to the foul line alot and coverts 75% of it's opportunities. Do they play a zone defense?

Interesting, thanks..

The only good thing I can take away from this crappy draw is it gives Pearl the ability to hype up the "disrespect" the committee showed the Vols to his players. That said, that's not much to hang your hat on, at least with this team.

Sure. If UT could, transitively, hang within ten points of WV then surely that means UT could, transitively, beat Pitt by.....4.....at least.:) Let's get past the Cowboys before we start talking Panthers.

If UT survives the first round and Maze starts his woofing and shenanigans against Pitt, he might get himself hurt. Severely. The same goes for a couple of other guys on the UT roster.

I'm going to pistol whip the next person that says shenanigans!!!!!

Do we ever play a zone defense?
Not as much as we should. If our opponent can go to the basket we should but not if they have good shooters. There's been plenty of times this year when the guys have gotten burned by the other team getting to the basket and not going into the zone.

"Across the board." I'll bite. If UT is one-and-done in the Dance, do Tyler and Chism come back?
