Tennessee's 4 headed QB derby

don't worry. whoever is named the starter, the QB2 and QB3 will be the greatest QB's UT has ever had. Well, at least according to the peanut gallery on VN
2 and 3 may decide to look somewhere else after spring practice
will our arm chair coaches still think they are great?
or decide we did mot want anyway.

This is very, very, very old misdirection.

JG wasn't a good QB. It wasn't a love affair with #2... just a wish to see someone else play even if they failed.

In most of my 15+ years here, there have been opinions and debates and some folks who were just committed fans to one guy or another. But by and large... posters here have given starters a good bit of rope.

Absolutely. Vol fans had no grounds to complain about the level of play by the starting QB the last 3 years.....
True.
Reports out of Pullman, Washington are saying that they are very pleased with their QB room.

The first thing the starter has to do is be able to read the defense. You should only throw the deep ball if the deep ball is going to be open.

I’m just happy we will have a fast paced, big throw offense again. This kind of offense has been sorely missed. I think any of the four will be able to provide some much improved play at the position in an offense that makes QBs look so good.

Anything has got to be better. According to some we had no one last year this year we have 4. Just give me one that has smarts and condfidence.

There’s such a thing as throwing it open. Abandoning the concept before the ball’s even snapped is an exercise in self-limitation...or our offense the last decade+.

Here on VN the backup QB is always the best option. Especially when the backup goes to an inferior school in an inferior conference and plays decent. Like Peterman and Ferguson.

Might have to tap into some of my 20+ year single malt once I see someone not named JG named the starter for the season.

With our luck, some QB will transfer in with the initials JG and win the starting job. We will then go down in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most people to ever simultaneously have PTSD triggered.

I wish him well. I hope he has a great season but reality was it wasn’t working here for him. It was like at the time it looked like he could succeed, a pick 6, fumble 6 would occur.
