After the last 2 classes, we can afford to have a down recruiting year (if you call a top 20 class a down year) If CBJ and Co are good at finding gems and developing kids, than we will be fine. We will have solid lines for the next few years and are looking good at qb and wr.

VN has way too many Chicken Littles.

Also way too many that want to whine and worry about the future, to enjoy our present sitiuation. It's been a slow tough climb back to the top. Enjoy it!

What, no likes for the OP?

We should be contenders for a while! The VOLS are back in the "picture" and team 120 has a chance for a special season by our current expectations. We took it for granted that our VOLS would win 10 games every season back in the 90's and we appear to be there again, talent wise. The OP is just part of a group who have been disappointed since 2007 with preseason hope, instead of expectations.

The "slide" in 2016 is about number of players. 2017 will be a big signing year again...and 2018 will be big, but will the nega-trolls ever leave?

Exactly. Guarantano can be great. Put 1-2 good running backs behind him and our running game will be just as explosive as it is now. Not to mention, he will have guys like Callaway to throw to. Our offense may be even better than it is now.

It is possible that next year could be cbj's best shot at a national title. I don't disagree with that. But, it's also possible that he becomes a great one and puts us in position to win 3 or 4 national titles.

You just never really know with these coaching hires. Who knew Pete Carroll would have the success he has had after being fired from new England? Who new belichik would become the greatest coach of all time after being fired from the jets?

last time i looked some legacy players were 2nd team and some didnt even play....

I agree that 2016 will be CBJ's best chance at a NC so far, but if we win the SEC Championship or a Nat Championship, don't you think our recruiting will just get better?
