Not sure how much more anyone needs to see to know that Holly Warlick will never win at UT. And before some of you take the time to remove your lips from Warlick's ass to respond and say she wins 20 games a year blah, blah, blah. When I say win I mean beating UConn, Baylor, ND, etc., Final Fours and championships, thats what elite caliber programs with elite level coaches do and she will never get it done because she's a mid major coach at best.

This is what everyone wanted right? You can't fire Holly because Pat said so............... As long as UT lives in the past, their ghost will control them
Pat Summitt would not be silent on how things have turned out. She would never have tolerated this kind of play, on the court, from herself, her coaches or her players. Phil Fulmer knows this. Sometimes being a great number two just doesn't translate to being a good head coach. The Lady Vols are a Brand. People followed them all over the country to watch them play. They deserve a top coach and top assistants. CPF knew Pat well and he darn well knows she would demand the program move onward and upward. Question is, is Fulmer man enough to do it?

I said this in another thread, Fulmer isn't going to turn his attention towards this until football is fixed. Football funds all other sports, except Men's basketball so naturally he wants to get this corrected first. Which is why I said we need to hope and pray Holly will embarrass herself enough to retire.

She's going down the same path as Duke did once they handed the reigns to McCallie even after she proved she was incapable of performing the job. She slowly took them down a path of destruction and now they're 8-7 and 0-3 in conference play. Eventually the recruiting is going to dry up for Holly and the attendance will continue to decline. Just hope the administration doesn't wait until Tennessee is completely irrelevant (more than we are already).

Didn't Fulmer give Holly a contract extension before the season started? Probably cost too much to fire her. Can you say another Butch Jones deal? The University of Tennessee where being mediocre is rewarded.

All great number two coaches left to become head coach. Seems like Holly was last number two left with longest tenure so she got the job.

All your points are spot-on. If this 6-year trend continues through the end of the season, Fulmer has no choice but to say so long to Holly. There comes a time when what we did in the past expires with recruits, and if we don't act soon, we are never going to be able to capitalize on our history to recruit the best players in the country. Warlick has had more than enough time to produce, and now it is time for someone else.

I know its apples and oranges but both programs have a similar historic pedigree....

Let's say Nick Saban leaves Alabama and they replace him with an assistant. The assistant is there for 6 years and Alabama does not make the CFB playoff. By year 4 when Saban's players are all gone, the team becomes a middle of the pack SEC team and is nowhere near getting to the CFB playoff. Alabama loses to UT 4x in a row. Does this guy get a 7th year at Bama?

Well considering the AD made the most money last year as a university in profit we should be able to pay anyone we want to coach. I mean we have seen what bargain shopping has done and that's get us the crappiest coach of any top 25 team in the country and if she wasn't at UT she would never have coached a top 25 team. So maybe Fulmer will actually beef the price of our next coach to 1.5-2 million and go after a good coach. I would take Wes Moore and about 10 other coaches that have done as much if not more with less than Holly has. But when you shop at WalMart and pay your coach WalMart prices Holly is what you get. It's not like the Lady Vols make money, so at least lost a little more money and pay a quality coach instead of a JUCO coach posing as the coach of a historical powerhouse!

We continue to wait for someone to NAME at least ONE "top 5 coach" who would leave their present highly successful program to coach at Tennessee.
