Butch Jones SEC record by school

1-4 vs Florida
2-2 vs Georgia
0-4 vs Alabama
2-2 vs Vanderbilt
3-1 vs South Carolina
2-2 vs Missouri
4-0 vs Kentucky
0-4 vs Rotating West opponent

14-19 Overall

The only records that matter....can't win your division and beat rivals then we play for a good New Years Day Bowl each year. When does Butch take that next step? I'm going with when he replaces Kiffin at FAU.

So in a thread meant to show that we are pulling away from the sec, the sec record doesnt matter? Please explain?

Hell let's factor recruiting ranks too to see who is winning more with less vs skimming by with more? That too should be a factor right?

Rivals.com Mississippi State Recruiting Ranks:
2006-#44
2007-#39
2008-#44
2009-#25
2010-#38
2011-#44
2012-#30
2013-#26
2014-#37
2015-#16
2016-#24

Went back to 2006 to give an idea of what Dan Mullen's is inherited.
WEST Division owns the SEC.
Mississippi State is the Vandy of that division arguably talent wise.
Dan Mullen has gone:
2009...5-7---1st Season
2010...9-4
2011...7-6
2012...8-5
Butch Jones arrives at Tennessee
2013...7-6
2014...10-3
2015...9-4
2016...6-7
2017...3-1

Being the bottom feeder of the West he has done some great coaching with 3 times less talent than Butch Jones. This shows a pattern every couple of years in his system his players produce from his coaching. James Franklin-ish but a much nicer likable guy.

Butch's SEC record in 2015 & 2016: 9-7
McElwain's: 13-3
Mason's: 5-11
Stoop's: 6-10
Mullen's: 7-9
Freeze's: 8-8
Bielema's: 8-8
Malzahn's: 7-9
Miles's: 6-4 then fired
Sumlin's: 8-8
Saban's: 15-1

Missouri, Georgia, and SCar excluded.

So looking at the past 2 years for the teams with coaches that were in play in those two years CBJ is 3rd behind Alabama and Florida in total wins.

The Floridas, Michigans, USCw's, OSUs, Texas's, and Bamas of the world don't settle for mediocrity. Hell your fans win the East and complain about the lack of style points it took  But at Tennessee...the 2nd winningest program in the SEC...New Year's Day bowls are the goal now.

Not buying it. Don't say he is better and once he gets blown out then post his horrible recruiting.

So he lost 31-3. If Butch has it close or even wins we can say Butch is better right?

Yep to the probation level.

3 Pac titles with 1 North title
10-3
12-1
12-2
12-1
averaged 45+
gave up average 20-22
2010 coach of the year
2012 coach of the year
2 Rose Bowls, 1 BCS championship game, 1 Fiesta game

YEA.....I would take that and lose 2 scholarships over two years (one each). Also I would not even worry about probation, one person who Oregon had hired messed stuff up......and it was huge deal at all.

From CSN Philly News:

"As the NCAA made clear, Kelly committed none of the violations himself. His résumé may be smudged, but his hands are clean. Any athletic director who reads the infractions case will be able to go to his president and trustees and make a case for Kelly"

"Chip Kelly met the NCAA announcement that it had banned him from college football for 18 months with characteristic straightforwardness. He didn't make excuses. He didn't blame someone else, even as the NCAA made clear that Kelly had been unaware"

Also I have researched and found out what happened.

That entire deal was: A recruiting service (which most teams use.....just not that one anymore) provided one recruit with room and board and spending cash (less than $200) while he was on an evaluation visit to that service. The "player" became an Oregon recruit.

Basically one guy from a recruiting service was doing wrong, and people at Oregon was using that guy. Chip and Oregon should have been more careful with the recruiting services and people they used.

This is the dumbest response....yeah those facts are false...don't believe those...opinions are much more realistic...wow guy. You are a piece of work. And Dan Mullen...would have this team rolling with this talent level...just like he had Florida's offense rolling when he was with Urban Meyer.

And this game SHOULD be close because Butch has recruited Georgia level talent here. Also he is facing a 2nd year defensive coordinator turned head coach....so he has no excuse.
