Tennessee Wide Receivers Video on "Volquest"

Champions don't take drills off.

That was a weak effort. The kid needs to get his head straight or else some of the walk ons will pass him.

Like everybody else who wasn't on the field or even in the stadium yet presumes to be a Da'Rick Rogers expert, I don't like what I saw. I also don't know why it happened anymore than you do. He might have missed a meal and operating on an empty stomach. He might have had some extra running to do in relation to that bar brawl thing and was mainly out of gas sooner than he normally would be that day. He might have gotten a call or letter about something that day (including a court document) that mucked his mind up. He might be a lazy SOB but the point here is those who are condemning and judging him here don't know what the situation is. I say again, with friends like so many here, our team certainly needs no enemies.

Now, what do I have to say about what I saw on that video? Not that anyone really cares. I say that looked lazy and as one person said, "half-assed." I hope that isn't indicative of how he plays in a game. The best post I've seen so far on this topic was someone who said they'd worry about it if the coaches calls him out on it. That's right. They are on the field and KNOW what the situation is. If Da'Rick is being what he's so eagerly being accused of, by gosh those coaches will make him dress in barb wire drawers, I'm sure. Perhaps then (not targeting you specifically) it is we who need to get our heads on straight and be less absolute in what is said about our players. All this based on a short video apparently at the end of practice. Anyone wonder what the video didn't show about the kid's effort through the other 99% of the practice?

I hope he doesnt see the field until he ready play every down, apparently hes not ready to do that. If he was, he wouldnt have half assed the route and he would have got his head around. I bet you anything his feelings are hurt because Hunter is showing him up.

How is the view from up there?

You might question Jones' talent some... but no one has ever questioned his work ethic or effort.

Rogers dogged it on the play. If he doesn't fix that... he won't see the field. A "team" requires every guy to give max effort on every part of every play.

This.

Jones has proved he can do little things like that plus he's a senior. Freshmen are the low men on the totem pole. Have any of yall ever played football before? My god you're acting like this is not a big deal and it really may not be but I can damn well tell you that if I was a freshman shootin the crap on the side while my seniors are in a drill bustin their butts and then when I get in and go halfass and then Drop the pass, I would get my ass handed to me and my coach would be so pissed I probably wouldn't see the field. It's not that big of a deal but come on guys..

The answer is obvious my friends, Justin Hunter wants it, Da'Rick Rogers quite obviously does not.

You guys do realize you're spending your time dissecting and complaining about an 18 year old kid missing a ball during practice, right?

You dont get to pick and choose which plays your going to try on.

Oh my god. It was ONE play in practice. It didn't look like he dropped it intentionally as was previously stated. The play before Hunter was getting yelled at for a weak block. The next play he hit the pad hard. That's what practice is for. It's one play in practice, get over it. Hunter also dropped an easy one right at the beginning of the video? Why no crying over that? It was probably a really good thing that media wasn't allowed for most of the practices. People like you would be hiding in the corner crying over random plays that weren't absolutely perfect in practice.

He hasn't even played one game yet... goodness people you can't call someone a bust until at least the 2nd or 3rd year.

Maybe he just steps it up in the games. Chill. Got a lot of head coaches on volnation.

Wow, this post reminds me of a witch hunt. Suggest we not be so quick to judge, especially based on one video, one dropped pass and a couple of off the cuff comments feeding our insatiable desire to get some practice updates.

According to the experts, he's had a good fall. I trust he's in great hands with our coaches...lazy is not an option with this crew!

Let's wait till the lights turn on and try to stay off the "burn him" bandwagon!
