Hey guys! I noticed there is a new practice video up on Volquest. It is of the Wide Receivers doing a few hitch routes and swing passes. If anybody wants to know why Da'Rick Rogers is NOT starting, keep watching until the video is almost over. You'll know why. By the way, he is number 21. Sorry I did not post the link. I do not know how to. Go Vols!

Wow. He had to hold the dummy from making the tackle on the second to last play and he looked extremely lethargic and lazy on the last pass play on the video. Not what I like to see.

What happened?

He had his helmet off during the first two drills talking not really paying attention and then when it's his time to come on the third drill he does it halfass and drops the ball. Baggett showed the expression he couldn't believe it in a non-drastic way.

I am not saying that it is the end of the world. "Oh my gosh! Rogers missed a pass", but the effort he gave after the pass was dropped is what surprised me. The kid is talented, no doubt, but he has got to make that catch. Now maybe others might realize why he is not, in fact, starting. Hopefully, if this is a confidence problem, he can get it fixed as the season moves along.

Anybody mind posting the link to make it more accessible for everyone? Thanks a bunch. Wish I knew how.

I did not notice that he was the only one with his helmet off during the drills, just standing around. Then, when he got into the action he flat out muffed it and tucked his tail. Baggett looked P.O.'d my friend.

Not trying to be rude or anything like that but Jones ran a drill with his helmet off, if i'm missing something tell me.

Da'rick doesn't even try on the last catch/play... Hunter>Da'rick

I agree with this 100%...everyone at this level has talent...heart makes all the difference.....I have been saying this for a while...seen Darick in high school games last year doing the same stuff

This is not a big deal. Things like this happen during a football practice ALL the time. I will worry when a coach calls him out.

I really don't think its that big of a deal. His effort was fine when he took the hand-off from Simms. It's hot out there, anyone would be a little slow and the video only shows like 4 minutes of their practice.
