Um, their "playing" for a NC was 100% directly caused by a high school level schedule, NOT a good football team.

They played James Madision the year they played in the NC game for goodness sake.

Corso predicted them in the NC game preseason that year because they had the weakest schedule in all of college football, and not one but TWO division II opponents. (this is all from memory but I remember Corso blasting them for their schedule preseason and him predicting that they would be in the NC game that year but ONLY because of that schedule, he was right).

They would finish no better than middle of the pack in the SEC on average, 3-4 in whichever division they went into.

pretty much

The "Speedway Game" might sound like a brilliant idea, but look up the dimensions and see for yourself how tiny a football field would be in the infield. From the grandstands, you would need a telescope to see the game. I made a rough diagram once before to show how ridiculous this was, but I can't find it on my hard drive.

All buildings would have been leveled, dirt brought in to raise the infield(football field) and a number of Jumbotrons were planned. Trust me,if Bruton says it can be done-it CAN be done!

Here is all i heard today from chokie fans: "haha ur coach doesnt know anything about the recruiting rules" "just another reason for florida to whip yalls ass" pretty annoying.all i have to do at that point is bring up how many NC's they have and how many we have and they usually change the subject.or say the past is gone.

I live in Bristol, and I know this has always been a rumor, but I have never heard any thing solid on the game being played at BMS, my 2 cents, the stadium just sits there, and camp grounds stay empty, so having that game in Bristol would do wonders for the economy of bristol, plus 180,000 fans....you can really tail gate in Bristol at the camp grounds! Damn what A game it would be!
