From UTSports.com.

Points of interest.

UT is undefeated in the month of August (5-0-1).
Tennessee is 2-6 in the Georgia Dome.
Sam Bartholomew, grandfather of current Vol
fullback Ben, had a 79-yard kickoff return to set up
UT’s first TD in the 1939 game against NC State.

A TENNESSEE WIN WOULD...
Snap a six-game losing streak in Atlanta and the Georgia Dome dating to 2001 (2009 vs. Va. Tech, Chickfil-A Bowl; 2007 vs. LSU, SEC Champ. Game; 2004 vs. Auburn, SEC Champ. Game; 2003 vs. Clemson,
Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl; 2002 vs. Maryland, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl; 2001 vs. LSU, SEC Champ. Game).
Snap a three-game losing streak to ACC schools, including a two-game losing streak in neutral-site
games against the conference

NC ST saying CB CJ WIlson isn't eligible due to some NCAA clearing issue. Don't know if he will play. He is their #2 corner. Anyone have any updates as to if he will be cleared by Friday?

NC State has a 11 senior starters.

As somebody mentioned earlier CJ Wilson is currently not eligible, which is pretty big.

Brian Underwood is also hurt and doesn't sound like he will be playing.

Mustafa Greene hasn't played in a game since the West Virginia game 20 months ago. Doubt he will be game ready, although he may see a couple snaps in the first half. They have depth at tailback.

I'm about tired of the losing streak in the Dome. I have witnessed all of them and vowed not to go to a game there until UT reverses the streak. I want to go Friday, but I am keeping my vow. Hopefully, we win Friday so I can go in December! :)

John Pennington (Sports Source show on Sundays) said that Justin Hunter is not 100% healthy. If this is true, I sure hope we are able to run the ball against NC State. Our O-Line needs to come out and kick some azz from the first snap. TIme for these guys to show some toughness.

Pennington says not but hunter says he is, hummmm who to believe. The non athlete that is trying to sell his show and website or the kid who actually is playing the game.

The GA dome being a jinx is irrelevant. These teams have never played in the dome so the jinx is just a topic for a lot of gum flapping for the media and fans. All of the stats in the OP are interesting but just as irrelevant. We can have fun with them, but they don't mean jack for this game.

I saw Justin Hunter a time or two this summer running around in basketball pickup games in the TRECS. He's healthy.

Pennington searches for anything negative he can find for Tennessee. I stopped watching his Sunday show two years ago. In addition, I think he still has Hyams on his program. Reason enough not to watch the show.

Very true. Pennington predicted UT loses to NC State on Friday. I think Hyams predicted a win and Mike Stowell (former player) also picked UT to lose. We shall see...
