Liberty is no slouch,

.........the Flames rode their excellent pitching to four straight wins to come out of the losers’ bracket and take down host Stetson in the finals. They allowed just 10 runs combined in those final four victories.

Strong pitching is Liberty’s bread and butter; the Flames rank 10th in the nation with a 3.45 ERA. Righthanders Andrew McInvale (10-2, 3.25, 97-38 K-BB in 97 IP) and Noah Skirrow (5-6, 3.76) plus lefty Joseph Adametz (7-2, 3.79) form a rock-solid trio in the rotation. In his return from Tommy John surgery, McInvale has gotten stronger as the season has progressed, attacking with a 90-92 fastball that bumps 94, a quality changeup and a pair of good breaking balls in his 80-83 slider and 75-77 curveball. As a four-pitch guy with good stuff across the board, McInvale is cut from the same cloth as Tennessee’s Garrett Stallings, his likely counterpart in Friday’s opener. Skirrow is a physical power pitcher who can run his heater up to 93-94 along with a good power curveball at 78-80 as well as a slider, helping him rack up 98 strikeouts in 76.2 innings. Adametz is a loose, projectable 6-foot-5, 180-pound freshman who gets loads of groundball outs with his lively sinker, and mixes in a pair of offspeed pitches effectively. Lefty Mason Meyer faced plenty of strong competition in the midweek starter role this year, and came up big with 7.2 innings of two-run ball in the A-Sun tourney. He works at 89-90 and features an 83-85 changeup with good diving action.......

......Liberty is also a sound defensive team, fielding at a .976 clip, with outstanding defenders up the middle in catcher Jonathan Embry, shortstop Cam Locklear, second baseman Will Wagner and speedy freshman center fielder Jaylen Guy. Embry (.311/.455/.536) makes this offense go; he’s an on-base machine with 57 walks against 30 strikeouts, and he’s also the team’s best power threat (10 HR, 16 doubles, both team bests). He even runs well for a catcher, with eight steals in nine attempts. Wagner (.304/.385/.452, 6 HR, 14 doubles) is the son of former major league all-star closer Billy Wagner, is Liberty’s most improved player from a year ago, giving the Flames some additional lefthanded pop and another smart baserunner (9-for-10 in steals). Locklear (.271/.388/.367, 4 HR) and Logan Mathieu (.265/.377/.417, 7 HR, 51 RBI) are two more key run producers in the heart of the order.......

We better come out swinging and scoring.......we didn't see their best arms when we played on 2/26/19

Yep. Gonna be a much different matchup this time around. Just can't leave runners stranded. Timely hitting and taking advantage of the opportunities. Goes without saying that we need a clean game defensively. Make 'em earn everything.
