The Cats are favored by 3. :dunno:

I'm guessing only 4 wins ever at Rupp Arena has something to do with it... :banghead:

Well, that's not much of a home advantage. I'll take the 3, hopefully Lofton will make an extra shot..

I think Major has to have a huge game. If we can't get out post players going then we'll get killed. CJ and Chris can't do it by themselves. But I think we win in a shootout

As someone who pays more than passing attention to the machinations in Las Vegas, only being a three point underdog indicates that the books feel the public has great respect for Coach Pearl and the Vols. That said, I would lay the points. UK is a wounded animal. UT will get their best tomorrow night.

Normally I'd agree with you and say something similar but that's all I've been doing this year and we've won 16 games so far. For the most part, Wingate has done just enough. We're pretty good at doubling up the post now.

What we need is for our "Bench Mob" to keep mobbing. Stanley is much improved off the bench now and Patterson is that player that we needed to pull down some rebounds. We need the bench to help tomorrow night and we win.

Besides, doesn't Kentucky play a 4 guard set some of the time?

Same goes for me . . . Conventional wisdom on this team flew out the window a couple of weeks ago.

Yes I think they do. And we'll have to know where Rando is all the time. He can play some basketball. Just ask South Carolina :birgits_giggle:

Stanley didn't practice today. He rolled his ankle, I think in the Ole Miss game.

Think he'll be ready to go tomorrow night?

Thanks for the scare. I never thought I'd be worried about Stanley being able to play. :biggrin2:

I've certainly quit trying to make predictions about what this team can/cannot do. No matter what I say, trying to be objective and cautious, they blow it out of the water. We may get UK's best tomorrow night, but don't think for a second they won't get our best shot as well. The country is in for a top notch bball game tomorrow night!

Speaking of, is it Tuesday night yet!?!?!

JaJuan and Howell have to step up and give us some good minutes (yes, Howell - I think it's going to be a pretty close game either way, and having C.J. and Lofton fresh down the stretch could make all the difference... JaJuan's been giving us good minutes all year and could force Sparks into a variety of fun turnovers)

Major's GOT to get involved in the offense early. That will create some opportunities for C.J. and Lofton. If they're really struggling for open looks, it could be a long night. (and UK is capable of playing some excellent on-ball defense, when they bother to show up for a game - I suspect they'll show up 100% for this one)

You know they will. Beating #11 Tennessee would help them this year. I can't believe I even typed that. Amazing.

Three points:

1. UK has home court.
2. Their tournament life is on the line.
3. They have Tennessee beat on the low post.

I like the fact that we are the underdog. I do not have any other intelligent thing to say right now other than "Go Vols!"

This is true Milo, but it's been true in most of the games we've played this year.
I hope to see us come out busting it left and right, like the Texas game, and leave the 'cat fans looking for a license plate number.
Maybe it's the KoolAid, but I'm starting to believe these kids can do whatever they take a mind to.

The only concern that I have is that it's on ESPN. I just hope that our guys don't choke. It's alway tough playing UK. Expecially at Rupp on ESPN. :cross:

Yeah... It's truly a big time game. ESPN has been hocking this game all week alongside with...

Duke vs. North Carolina

For the purposes of this game, the level of the game has reached that plateau. Pearl will keep the fire lit though.
