Tennessee vs. Florida

He has a title with Chris Leak as his starter and an undefeated season at Utah.

Yeah, it's not like Meyer hasn't won everywhere he's been regardless of personnel.

When he came to UF, people said his system wouldn't work in the SEC.

When he won the NC in '06, people said he couldn't win with his own players.

In '07, people said Tebow was nothing more than a glorified fullback who can't pass.

Now after two national titles and several monster recruiting classes, some of you doubt whether or not Meyer can win without Tebow.

I said from day one he'd be worse (for UT) than Spurrier.

Can't really agree with that. With Spurrier, it was more than just an ass whipping. Those victories gave Florida a persona. I can't see anything worse than that.

2007 and 2008 were pretty brutal. He's won five straight now, with no end in sight.

I can see the Spurrier years being worse because UT had similar expectations heading into the season back then.

I can recall several seasons when I thought UT had the better team yet wound up losing.

That's not the case now. The expectations are much different now.

We always get their best shot, no reason to think it will be any different this year. We need luck, they just don't need to screw up. That's how it's been for a while now and i'm tired of it. It would be nice to make this thing a rivalry again. 5 straight isn't a rivalry it's a annual beat down.

Isn't there a stat that's something along the lines of, "Whoever has the most rushing yards wins the UF/UT game 99% of the time?" Seems like I hear that everytime we play. So yeah, we should just run the ball better than them.

easier said than done. if you look what each team returns and has added right now it's glaringly obvious which team is more likely to have good success running the football and which is more likely to run into a brick wall.

What I say: I did not know that. Thanks for your input.

What I mean: No ****

the main problem for years has been in the trenches and that's where the problem still is.

during the five game streak....

tennessee a total of 305 yards rushing (61ypg)

florida has rushed for a total of 799 yards (159.8ypg)

I agree. We need more rushing yards against those lizards

Seeing how our roster is equal to vandy and ky I fail to see how we are supposed to win. We should win the first game but that Oregon game is going to be murder on our guys. Win or lose that is a hell of a game before our toughest rival. I have a slight bit of hope to pull that game out because it's at home and against a pac 10 oponent. But they will run the option on us and we will be beat up going into the fl game. If nobody did their research facing two option teams back to back is suicide. A loss to Oregon whether it be by 1 point or 21 is going to have our teams confidence down to face the #3 team in the country. ANd fl is not going to overlook us and take a win for granted. I think part of the reason the game was so close last year was they KNEW we had no chance at winning. This year their team isn't much worse and ours is way worse and meyer will have them ready to come to kneyland like it was the sec title game. and really it is because in the east they have us and uga then that's it. I was at the last game in kneyland and it was awful. i expect the score to be at least the same.

Our roster is not equal to Florida, but is much better than Vandy or Kentucky.
