Sorry for trying to hijack this thread but I don't have privileges to start a thread yet....

I didn't see a thread with this new video about RBs coach with some footage from saturday's game made by VFL films.

By the way, going forward, let me know if guys like separate videos for offense and defense or if you'd rather just have one video which includes offense and defense.

Love the videos, thank you, Freak!

I, personally, like them separate.

Here's my $.02:
OL looks much more organized & confident in blocking schemes compared to last year when event UTC seemed to blow them off the blocks. In particular, Coleman Thomas had a heck of a game.

In terms of our secondary, a couple of passes to Dieter (tremendous player) were absolute dimes in great coverage. Nothing can be done about that. Abernathy got beat on a good throw and the following play, missed an assignment out of a stack formation. Maggit had a MA as well that went for a TD. Foreman just let the WR run past on him on that first bomb.

Overall, defense looked good in terms of tackling, not too many missed. Also, DL was in the backfield fairly regularly, although with varying results against an offense where a decision (pass, tuck &run, handoff) is made in less than 3 seconds. I think the pass rush will yield better results against a pro style offense or pocket passing QB.

Lastly, these videos are awesome Freak and nice breakdown ZJC

This video is all of the offensive snaps against BG, crammed into a 15-minute video, posted for formation and playcalling discussion. Your participation in the discussion of breaking down this video is appreciated.

Someone explain why no safety or TD on sack in the endzone? Check the defense video at 1:22. QB is in the endzone ball is loose yet no safety or TD nor replay was done to justify!

Buhler, Buhler, Anyone???

Love it as separate vids, Freak.

That is awesome....But now I'm worried again - I had convinced myself that it was just vanilla defensive schemes that hurt us - but , shheesh, our guys ( ends/OLBs) were getting caught inside repeatedly, like 2-3 years ago. Just over-committing to the inside.

We've got to be more disciplined!

Freak,

Just a suggestion. Could UT punt returns, field goal attempts and kick off returns be added to the offense? Also, UT kick offs, punts and field goals against (defended) be added to the defense? This would encompass the entire game and allow us here on VN to break down the entire game film.

Thanks
