Tennessee vs. Arkansas Game Thread

Would you guys stop bitching about what this team isn't and enjoy it for what it is?!

Flash back to Wade Houston and get your mind right...

I remember a Wade Houston game where we had the ball for the last shot and possibly the win, but were unable to get the ball inbounds after a timeout.

Exactly the example I was about to post.
Hakim Warrick is averaging double figures in the NBA. Gerry McNamara was a really good college player. Without Manning, that Kansas team would have finished last in the Big Eight.

no love for John Wallace around here.

I did love his performance that year. My friends and I use to draft 5 players at the start of the tournament and whoever's 5 players scored the most points combined over all the games, won. Jon Wallace was my winning ticket that year.

Decent. I just fear we will get absolutely annihilated on the boards. I don't think we can make Green turn it over enough to offset being outrebounded 2 to 1.

I don't think it will be that bad of a ratio, also Chism took it to Horford to the tune of 19 points in Gainesville. Our big men usually play better at home as well.

No, the Big Eight was the conference Kansas was in during the '87-'88 season. The Elite Eight is the designation given to the regional finalists. The Jayhawk team wouldn't have seen the NCAA tournament without Manning.

My bad, I thought you meant how far they would have got in the tournament..

I'd like to think the Vols have a good chance against Florida at home + Lofton, but like hat said, rebounding will more than likely kill the Vols. hey're routinely outrebounded, though... almost gotta hope the Gators have a bad game.

There's now a whole generation that can't remember a time when the Big 12 was the Big 8 and the Big 10 really had 10 teams. I'm old.

19 year olds like me, don't know some of that stuff.. I thought he was talking about the tournament.. Dang, I hate losing to hat on something like that.

Ask that generation about the Southwest Conference and see the blank stares you get.
