I’d even argue that having alternates makes it more exciting even when we wear our standard uniform combination, simply because you don’t know for sure what you’re going to get week to week. In a bygone era, I might have opened this thread and gone “Orange and white, well of course.” Instead I opened this and thought “Awwww yeah, LFG!”

I know many members on here don't like the alternate uniforms, the traditionalists, but I like the alternates as well as the traditional. These young guys are the ones putting in the time, sweat, bruises, injuries, so they should have a voice in what they want to wear. Heck I'm 70 years old and I think the alternate uniforms are slick, I'm all for them. But yeah, for the checkerboard Neyland, traditional uniforms should be worn.

I m 76 AND I LOVE THE ALTERNATE UNIFORMS.........................I TOTALLY AGREE, LET THE PLAYERS DECIDE WHAT THEY WANT TO WEAR. AFTER ALL, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO REALLY COUNT ! AND PUT IN TH BLOOD , SWEAT AND TEARS.

I LIKE THE ORANGE BRITCHES, BUT THE WHITE ONES WITH THE ORANGE JERSEYS ARE GOOD TOO. ANYTHING BUT THE SMOKEY GRAYS. IF THE KIDS LIKE THEM THATS OKAY, BUT I DON'T AND THAT'S OKAY TOO. STAY OFF MY LAWN.

I think the Smokey greys are the best looking jersey we have.

I’m 75 and I’m in total agreement. Let the kids pick their unis. And if anyone doesn’t like it, Bama needs more fans. Or Vandy, or Kensucky.
