Tennessee Tradition is like no other

Every fan of every school thinks their school has the greatest tradition in the history of college football - that's what makes it so fun......because deep inside, we vol fans KNOW ours is the best

I always remember growing up as a little kid on saturdays I'd put on my shoulder pads, Tennessee Helmet, and my Peyton Manning jersey and go down for breakfast. Great times. Those were the days if Tennessee barely won our fans would not be happy. And if we lost....... The weekend was ruined.

My weekend is still ruined when we lose. Bama 09 and LSU 10 you did not want to talk to me or you might have got an ass chewing for no reason.

It's sad now to look that when we lose most fans kinda expect it going into certain games. When I was a kid no one wanted to play us. Playing Tennessee was like an automatic loss on your schedule. I can not wait to get back to that! And we are heading in the right direction.

The Homer in me thinks it's the best. The realistic side thinks somewhere in the top 5.

This is the best video I have ever seen describing the way I feel about TENNESSEE FOOTBALL.

Being married, having 2 children, and now divorced; I realize there are more important things in life than who wins a football game. But when I was in my late teens early twenties I didn't feel like eating on opening day; or if we were playing a big game. I was just sick if we gave a big game away like the 1990 Auburn game which I attended. That tie was like a loss.

I still have mental scar tissue from that game.

This. Fortunately enough, my family and friends know this. They wont even make eye contact with me. Smart move on their part, IMO.

My memories are slightly different: I would wake up Sat morning with a pounding hangover headache, pull out my Peyton jersey from the dirty clothes bin, stumble downstairs and get ready to grill Brats and have a few cold ones to watch Peyton win another one. :pepper::pepper::pepper:
