CDD didn't predict that record. The magazine did. We will go 7-5 with a possible 8-4. Don't count out our team just yet. I'll eat crow later in the season if necessary but for now I will stand behind the team.

We have some really good talent that will only play better "together" as the season goes on. personally I would be shocked if we only won 4. You have bama and the gators, beyond that I'd say we are pretty close overall talent wise, plus were the underdog. And a Vol under"dog",may come with a severe bite.:machgun:

I won't read this whole thread but will say why give a flying rat's ass what some jackass thinks the Vols record will be for the 2010 season.

Am I being to optimistic saying we'll go 6-6 or 7-5? I mean 4-8? Is that the best Doley thinks the Vols will do? Where's the heart of the team fans? Vols have had seasons of 4-8 but it's been over 50 years if you go back and look and the schedules. I'm hoping for at least 2 SEC wins. Is that more like it? Vandy and Kentucky. I'm guessing the Ol' Ball Coach's team will be 3rd in the SEC East. Hmmm? Not good! Vols hopefully should split the games for September. GO VOLS! Hang in there Vol fans and pray for the best 6-6 or 7-5. Is this team worse than last years' team?

I think recruiting plays the biggest part in the equation if we go 4-8. Bama didn't do to hot Saban's first year, but he brought in the best class of the year by far. But if our recruiting is still 7th/8th in the SEC then DD won't return.

I predict that Dooley will win more games as UT coach than Kiffin did. I just don't know how many years it will take. I hope 1 but.....?????

BS only way we only win 4 is injuries and it would be obvious. Or horrific line play. Take your pic they go hand in hand. This would not get DD fired.

IMHO, I'm inclined to think 7-5, 8-4 if you guys escape injuries. You're just too thin. You guys have talent, no doubt about it.

This is something I would be more concerned about. Your 2011 recruiting class per ESPN in not sniffing the top 25. Of course it's still early but I would think you should at least be mentioned.

I've said before, in this very thread, that even if CDD goes 2-10, he does not get fired.

Here is the next 3 years...WORST CASE
2010...Rubber check, anything goes
2011...6-6, 3rd in SECE, good recruiting class, plays Top 5 teams close (Bama, UF)
2012...8-4, 2nd in SECE, great recruiting, plays Top 5 to last second, maybe wins one

We just need to realize that RIGHT NOW we are a program that needs a coach to settle the dust...let CDD have 3 yrs at the reins, then re-evaluate...if you like what you see, keep him...if not, cut him loose and hopefully he has stocked the cupboard talent wise for a better man to pick up the reins and push us further...jmo

This is the real record here to watch. DD will get a pass his first year on win/loses but he's not getting a pass on recruiting. Looks like right now were battling for 10th spot in the SEC with Miss. St.

Ut will win atleast 6 or 7 they will be better than alot think,the line will be young but they will be good enough ,and sims has two great seniors wr and some very good freashmen and soph,and some good rb even,without bryce brown,as long as sims doesnt make too many bad decisions ut will be fine,if sims does very good we win 8
