Tennessee - Syracuse is almost a main event

Honestly, when I first saw the schedules, I was certain that either the TX/OSU game or the TN/SYR game would have been relegated to 3:30 with the other being Noon.
Didn't figure either one to be primetime even though it's Labor Day weekend...people don't go to Columbus or Atlanta as weekend getaway spots.

Look at the two big prime time games - LSU/CLEM and ND/Miami...
LSU/CLEM will get ratings because those two programs are supposed to be on the upswing this year and make some real noise with a ton of returning production...Miami is connected with direct flights from any major airport in the country, so it's a good weekend getaway spot.
Game schedules are based on what tv wants not whether people want to spend the weekend in the city a game is being played at.

B1G Noon Kickoff sucks . I know they get huge ratings, but I think it’s bad for college football. Texas vs Ohio State or PSU vs Ohio St has no business being a noon game.

It sucks for Big 10 fans. As a college football fan, I like it for balancing out big games throughout the day.

We are lucky that the biggest SEC game will always be at night and never at noon.

I wonder of Belichick's girl friend has scripted UNC's first 10 plays for him.... and will she be there when the sideline reporter tries to interview him to censor what he can and cannot say ??
How bad is it, that arguably the greatest coach in NFL history is the butt of these jokes as the head coach of UNC?

Ohio St admin petitioned it and Fox was willing to move it to Primetime with Texas’ approval. Of course Texas being the road team, decided that a noon kickoff was what they wanted. I don’t blame them one bit.
Fox was willing to make it primetime on Sunday night, not Saturday night. Texas balked at the move in day, not game time.

That's true, but I've noticed in the past 2 to 3 years people are starting to warm back up to these destination type game weekends...not saying it will ever out pace tv pressure, but tv networks understand that side too...empty stadium looks bad in prime time.

Texas should win since I think they’re better all around and it’s not a night game in Columbus. I do think the OSU defense can keep it close but I’d expect Texas to win by 10+.

Game is more important for Texas since OSU still gets Penn State @ 🏠 later in the year.

The Big 10 has about 10 bad teams in their league. The best teams load on cupcakes in the league. I hope Texas ends the Big 10 hope and dreams early. We know Penn State is overhyped.

Not as bad as the common person being the butt of scrutiny far less and with far less reason than what famous and powerful people who basically do what they want. I will say this, they have FU money and somehow maintain privacy, avoid the level public scrutiny they might should be getting, and yet they are in the spotlight more than most. That’s a magic act.
