Awesome!!! We have positioned ourselves perfectly. Top 6 or so when we take down the red team.

I would have understood being lower but I couldn't argue with this either.

Honestly think about it, we are 5-1 and have played 4 teams that have been ranked in the top 25 this season.

They shouldn't have dropped us. I expected a small drop but I'm pleased with this. Handle Alabama Saturday and everything we want and this team wants is still very possible.

I still don't see the justification for Wisconsin to be ranked over us... we've beated 2 top 20 teams. They haven't beaten any ranked teams.

Great! This team earned their right not to drop, so glad the voters seen that.

Now, rally the troops, apply all the duct tape and band-aids, beat Bama and move on up, take an off week to heal the wounded as there are many, then beat the brakes off everybody down the stretch.

It's gonna be a tall order but this team can patch it up for one more strong week and have a shot to win the Bama game. Winning out after Bama will be a must but will not be the lay up a lot think it will be. Next weeks rest will be huge and will have to play up to our talent level in every game to make sure there's no slip ups.

I saw some ESPN headline that said "Tennessee Volunteers in Trouble" after that A&M game but it was just saying how, with the loss, we need to beat Bama to keep controlling our destiny in the east (at least until the Gators play Georgia or Arkansas or LSU if that gets worked out). I'll just say it's awfully nice to be back to that kind of trouble mid-season. Kind of had a "welcome back to the bigger conversation" moment with that article.

Hard to believe, but the game this weekend is the highest combined ranking of any Bama-Vols matchup in the 98 years they've been playing it

It still doesn't make up for dropping 8 spots after beating App St in OT but it's a whole lot better than dropping any spots altogether.

AP Poll loves us? I bet they only did it for the hype of the Alabama game so CBS could bill it as a top 10 showdown. I fully expected us to be at 11 but I will not complain one bit 😁
