No doubt JMU will get their own regional and yes darn good thing , it seems like they are in our something every year.

I don't think its a given. Their RPI is only at 14. Very possible they get the Minnesota treatment due to weak SOS. If they don't host I predict they get sent to us or Kentucky.

You know, I really thought we were gonna be really good this year. Remember when our players hit several homers in one game, it was exciting. We started out great against some of the best teams in the country. That’s what makes this game today so disappointing. Thought they could have been a contender.

The really sad part is our pitching has held up really well overall. We changed our hitting philosophy mid March (see Ralph) and here we are.

When did the infield defensive shuffling start? Thought that might have effected the hitting as well.
To be fair Ally getting hurt started some of that but trying to get every slapper into the lineup at some point in seemingly every game started in Mid March when our decline in hitting began.

Did anybody notice when Phillips was having a one on one conversation in the dugout with Karen, away from everyone else, that the camera zoomed in on them, and wouldn’t leave. Karen saw it, and Phillips left. It was all a little intrusive and creepy by the camera people.

Is it my imagination that Leach and Seggern’s hitting dropped off some after the infield shuffling started?

Hiring a Hitting Coach is badly needed. I was watching the game and Auburn's pitcher was having trouble getting strikes. Her only pitch for strikes seemed to be her change! I started saying out loud, next pitch is a change up!!! The girls just stood there and took call strike after call strike not willing to swing at the change...Drove me Crazy!

After the last 20 games by LV's and that showing yesterday ,it is not a given that the Lady Vols will host a Regional.I would not seed them in Top 16 because right now they are not one of Top 16 teams in the country.

I re watched a large portion of the game this morning to try and get a feel of what the hell happened....

On offense, hate using that word for our pitiful effort, but our girls just stood there numerous times, as if they had been instructed not to swing at a change up pitch...This often led to a strike out....

Several batters, when they did swing, seemed to swing upward, which led to numerous lazy pop ups......And please, enough with the slappers....

Karen and Ralph are very good recruiters, but not good game day coaches...

I still think they host but anything can happen in other tourneys to enhance their chances or hinder them. May be the 16 but it will not matter because they will not last long. No fire in the belly of this group since Ally went down and I did not notice much leadership from the captains or seniors. We all have griped about the constant movement on defense and none more than me but I still think it caused head games. JMHO as always!
