Tennessee Softball

To be honest -Ashley could have thrown it down the middle every pitch and not given up more than a couple of runs

UGA is one of the top teams in scoring, averaging something like 6.6 runs per game. Wish we could get back to hitting like we were against UF. At least Bearden got her confidence back and Pacini's probably feeling it, too.

Watched the highlights: strange when you see yourself in all of them and how can a team and school with no press box have so much better video production than UT? They had a long table and three or so laptops and the cameras.

I was thinking the same thing!!! I wondered which one you were there behind the plate but never asked!

Getting plenty of runners on base the players that must step up are the 3, 4, 5, and 6 hitters and only one has done so Bearden. Seggern is a shocking surprise has always been a clutch hitter until the last couple weeks. Morgan has never hit in SEC play and is continuing that pattern. Phillips needs to do some research on her swing from previous games when she was hitting .400 because she is down in the .270's now and falling fast. Pacini should at least take the DH role against lefties although she is a better fielder than Bearden and could play right and Bearden DH.

I was sitting right over a left handed batters shoulder wearing an orange shirt really couldn't see my face much. Sat next to an ETSU mom her daughter is hurt right now. The pitcher who sailed that pitch to the back stop hurt her arm/shoulder. Etsu coach has gone on a recruiting them small binge. I thought we only did that! :) Bearden is a head taller than anyone on the team.

Because that's their primary streaming crew. That's literally the best ETSU can do.

Tennessee has two video production options with the SEC Network deal. First, they can produce a full TV-quality (tier 1) broadcast, which is what is done for the majority of games. Second, they can produce a two-camera (tier 2) broadcast (home plate and center field) that utilizes the home radio feed. Those are the only two options, per the SEC TV contract.

Tennessee only has one full TV production control room and only so many TV-quality cameras. A tier 1 broadcast can only be run through the main control room. A tier 2 broadcast can be run through a secondary setup. Additionally, when events other than football on campus are broadcast by ESPN or the SEC Network, UT's equipment and control room are used to produce those broadcasts. They no longer hire production trucks. So when there are multiple events going on at one time, decisions have to be made. Two weeks ago, UT did all three softball games vs. Auburn with the full TV-style broadcast, one on SEC+, and two on the linear SEC Network, which left baseball with the tier 2 broadcast for all three games vs. Mississippi State. Last weekend, softball got the tier 2 setup for the MSU series while the three baseball games got the full broadcast, two on TV and one on SEC+.

Tennessee would very much like to build a second control room with equipment to do two tier 1 broadcasts at one time. Currently, only two schools in the SEC have that capability. A third will by next year. If you have the $3 million it takes to build that out laying around, I'm sure the Tennessee Fund will be happy to let your name be put on that room.

So no I’m not going to donate 3 million have a little thicker skin. Seems the SEC is the problem if only 2 cameras can be used and they limit how things can be done. I was at the Etsu game and with their limitations they did a pretty good job producing that game. This is a team according to the mother of a player l sat next to which
doesn’t even have a pitching machine. They should not even be tier ten compared to the SEC. I appreciate any video feed or audio we get. The last series though even with two cameras the overhead plate camera would have shown 99 percent of the plays without switching cameras problem solved no extra money needed (Production).
I guest I don't give enough to have an opinion just buy multiple tickets and drive 320 miles round trip to see them. I noted in an earlier post a lot of it was probably due to multiple events on campus. I love the Ladyvols and will continue to do so. Thank you.

Looking good for Bama to win the regular season championship knocked Florida off twice. They have a freshman pitcher Houts that is as good as our freshman and she won the first game yesterday made like 130 pitches in a 3 to 1 win. We would have to sweep Georgia to stay a big factor at least two wins and we haven't hit enough for me to believe that will happen. You will have to score a lot of runs to beat Georgia that have an offense that will test our pitching. We need to stay in that top four in the SEC for sure big advantage in the tourney.
If someway we sweep or at least win the series versus Georgia and Florida can salvage a game against Bama then were one out or tied on the lost side with six to play. We have Ole Miss on the road and A&M at home. They have Kentucky at home and LSU on the road so this is a huge series for us we have to win two. Were sitting in second place don't want to give that up by blowing this series.

I would love to get to that A&M series tied while they are at LSU.

Time for Tenn Softball action against Georgia. GBO!!!
Game is on SEC Network & watchespn .com.

There's a little bit of a delay action between TV & computer.
