I think Ralph's trying to find hitters. The LVs have a concerning number of players in hitting slumps, and Morgan is one of them. Bearden isn't as good on defense, though.

How can you round 3rd base on that ball? If you go half way and the ball gets over the left fielders head you score easy. Dang

I would guess no but we have more RH batters than I remember in a long time. Speed is good if you can hit the blame ball. Many times I don't understand the logic is see but the good thing is I don't have to!!

Shipman going down was a big righthanded bat in the lineup. I guess Huffstetler just isn't an option or Pacini. They could use Weimer as a DH but sure don't need her to catch. Shipman was a big loss.

Auburn hasn't had that many hits, either. They just have a couple of hitters that come through for them and we've been lacking that this weekend.

Give Weimer and Rogers a try, and see if the two of them and Phillips can get something going.

I don't disagree with you 2012 often but Weimer is a better defensive catcher than our two freshman. She will never throw a base stealer out but since Ally went down who has? Weimer is as good of a hitter as Osborn at least lately and has caught our two pitchers for 3 years or more. JMHO as always VN friend!

Doubleheader today starts at 3 pm est. Are we gonna get swept or will pitching show up and we score enough runs to win at least one game. No game Monday moved up for today because of possible bad weather.
