I don't understand why she was slapping in that situation. Holcomb on 3rd with 1 out in a tight game. It's not important for her to reach base there, it's important to drive in the insurance run. All batters have better bat control standing still than when running up on the pitch. Luckily the catcher threw the pick-off away.
