It was never 11.7. Softball has been at 12 scholarships since at least 2001.

Tennessee doesn’t play Florida in the regular season next year so it gets a shrug from me, if this proves to be true.

I agree that college coaches leading the various national teams presents both an opportunity for tampering and for a conflict of interest when a player has spurned that coach. Heather Tarr certainly held it against Kiki Milloy the last two summers on the full national team that she didn’t choose Washington where her sister played. She didn’t even have her on the roster last year until she was forced to add her as an injury replacement light. Then she ends up being one of the best players in the event. This year she refuses to play her in centerfield, despite her clearly being the best player on the team.

That said, if a college coach doesn’t lead the national team and the collegiate national team, who is going to do it? There aren’t coaches from professional leagues ready to step in and do it.

The reality is, college coaches lead the national team and the various junior or collegiate national teams in every sport. Basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, the list goes on. The only sport that doesn’t use college coaches for the national teams is soccer.

I called it in January we are going to the WCWS because of our pitching staff we had and a lot of you y’all wanted to disagree but now y’all want to say we are in a better situation. No way we are doing anything with that staff. This is softball you got to win the circle to win the game.

There's a reason why most people outside of Seattle don't think highly of Tarr. She's not a nice person.

They’ve pulled the 2024 summer off the website now. I wonder if they’re removing Charli or adding the 3 freshmen?? Hard to keep up with all the comings and goings.

That explains Charli returning, Karen must’ve thrown the towel in and gave the money she had for a pitcher to Charli to return. Hopefully she can mature.some and be a big surprise this year.
