After looking it up it seems as several others have committed by calling karen. is this incorrect that they can already committed!

Jenna is a good kid but was going to be a bench player at best. Hopefully we are clearing bench space for portal players. We do need a pitcher and some more solid hitters. Our worst hitters at the end were our veteran portal players which should have been leading us.

Jenna is a solid low D1- UTC, ETSU, Tn Tech type player could go to any of those teams and do great things.

You cannot commit until Sept 1 of your junior year. Coaches can’t speak to players directly until then about offers….does that mean conversations haven’t happened. All is fair in love and war or in this case recruiting.

If I was on the team and not playing I would work as hard as I could to get my degree then transfer via the portal rather than transfer after 1 year. That goes for all sports.

Not anymore. You can have as many as you want on your roster, but you have to designate 22 to participate in a game or an SEC weekend series. You can now have as many as you want on the roster and travel as many as you want, just have to designate which 22 are active for the week. Only 25 can receive aid.

Honestly this made me extremely hopeful for next year. Throughout the year I realized how much this team and the leaders on the time really used how the last 2 seasons ended to fuel their motivation to get back to the WCWS. Although we had a decent showing at the WCWS I wholeheartedly agree that this team will work their asses off to be able to get to the champ series and win it all.

MTSU's Laura Mealer, ss/2b, reported to be in portal, All CUSA 1st team, Tuscalosa Region 1st team, .388, 12 home runs, 2 years eligibility, Forrest High, Chapel Hill, TN.
Will Bama be first in line ?

Three big portal names two pitchers and one hitter would be enough for us with the returnees next season. I feel like at least a couple of the three freshmen are going to be able to play immediately as will Pannell. Players still on the team that may have a hard time seeing the field are Mesusan unless she is happy being a pinch runner, Sarvis and Kirkpatrick. Ahlin doesn't look to be someone that will be playing much either think Brock took that time away. White and Orsini may stay but not going to pitch much. We have to get a couple pitchers to go with Gottshall and Pickens and they need to be elite type players.

Coaches play the portal kids they pickup per promises on picking them up. Karen isn’t moving a 5th year Donhoo from SS. Lair didn’t leave because of Des a bad Lair played over Des, Lair was on the move because of someone they have in mind from the portal or Faw at second.

If she has better options at SS which she should unless we have massive injuries then that would be coaching malpractice. Not to say Donihoo couldn't play but her hitting by the end did not warrant a spot unless we had the injuries. Recruit and play the best players. Over the years we have played too many pets and the results speak for themselves.

She is going to have better options that is a fact. She might leave Donihoo at shortstop, but having better options is already there in Pannell and Faw both are both better at that position. So yes if she does not act it will be a coaching mistake because of the incredible value of that position defensively.

If Pannell doesn't start in the field she will definitely be DH over Brockenbrough.

Nobody on that staff is married to having Donihoo at shortstop. Particularly when she can effectively play several other positions.
