Sadly, but agree on Abbott. If you’re wanting what Gasso has you have to coach like you want it.

For two months I agree, you needed to pick and choose. I didn’t expect to see her in the WCWS unless we were up big and she was closing a game out. Not starting against OU. I stated since the day she committed, be patient because of the build up.

Got a feeling they won’t respond very well. I probably would not. Just had your coach basically mail it in….give up when down only 3. Should have gotten in the umps face in inning #1 and been tossed. Got Chris to manage in case of that. Might have put some fire in the team instead of whatever we been seeing.

Risk/reward of burning an ace today instead of keeping them to come through the lower bracket says otherwise. We gambled on KP being able to be a starter and finishing with Ashley if still in the game. Did not work. Also everybody on the OU bench knows WHO they got their runs off of.

Bet the squad was informed of plan A and plan B based on early results. They are smart and mature enough to deal with plan B. Would not be surprised to see more bench players subbed in.

I agree with that, I just think Karen’s decision today was a bad one. You go with your best when you get to this point and we didn’t go with either. We haven’t played great today anyway, but I think it was a show of weakness play by Coach to go the direction she went. Sure if it works your a genius but you have to go with your best chances. And we passed on both. I am sure she will defend her decision, and that is fine. But it doesn’t make it the right one.

I agree today has been a dumpster fire but last year Simpson pitched against OU an inning or two and did fine. We took them to 10 innings. It would be a totally different feeling had things planned out slightly better.

Getting embarrass on national TV and also the announcers getting their digs in about who we pitched not a good look for Tennessee softball today
