I'd put DT at the extremely extremely high need level.

JUCO here too. We honestly could use 5-6 JUCO guys consisting of Couple OL, DT and LB. If not we will have a huge gap of playing lots of youth at these positions. Will be set back two years.

Our need at LB is worse than I can ever remember. Next year, given that AJ goes pro, we are looking at our only returning guys with any game action being Maggitt, Harris and Bynum. Weatherd will help, but we need some serious depth.

What about the year we started Johnson and Maggit as true freshmen? That was a rough year at LB.

Would really like to see Dillon Bates commit and eliminate those elephant and swamp critter hats. We need him badly. I was a huge fan of his dad both while at UT and with the Cowboys. Having another legacy in the Class of 2014 would be awesome.

I've seen him listed both ways. He probably has the speed and versatility to play outside, but with the amount of emphasis the coaches are putting on speed, they may like him better inside. JMO.

We can maybe cut down the depth problem by teaching linemen how to play all back up lineman positions excluding center. Utility would really help with some of the issues.

He can P.D. but I think they are hoping Vereen will be a stud Def. End due to the lack of numbers. Just my opinion.

Any way you look at it we are 2 years away from even getting to sniff at the top, maybe 3 people dont wont to hear it, thats the way it is, next year OL will be like the one Dooley took over in his first year and you dont just throw true freshman in at the OL and be able to play with the elite, it wont work.

Just because next year's starting OL will lack experience doesn't mean they are going to be a bunch of true freshmen. Jackson, Kerbyson, and Crowder are all guys that have gotten good reviews and have looked good on the practice field. I'm sure those guys will get some reps during games this season to help them prepare for 2014, too. Then if we can sign Blair and/or Mavety, that's a very serviceable starting group.

I've been saying this for a while. The three you mentioned are the only scholarship LBs we will have returning.
