Obviously I am writing this before the new commits send in their LOI but think about this.

1: Our new guys will have the chance to learn from Hardesty, Foster, and Coker. I think with just these guys, we have the very best running back stable in the SEC.
2: With awesome wr coming in as well, I feel we will throw a lot more too. Our RBs will really need to be able to pass block. With the experience and depth we have at RB, our young guys can learn this important part fast. (Remember, it was this that kept Coker off the field a lot in the past).
3: Each RB can really play all out each play and showcase their talent because of the depth we will have.

Interested in hearing others thoughts on this.

I truly hope the coaching staff doesn't waste Coker's talent by not being creative into getting the ball to himout in space (al la Reggie Bush). I always thought that Derrick Tinsley was a talent that we had for four years and never figured hou how to utilize.

Number 1 is grossly wrong. ARK has the top 2 backs in the conference on their roster.
2. No comment
3. I think they'll play hard to keep the other guy off the field, not because the other guy can replace them.

Coker > F. Jones

Jones is fantastic though.

Creer should push Hardesty for #2 carries, and Foster could very well reemerge once he's 100% healthy. Curse of riches.

Looks like they want to go to more of a running attack. With the limited number of WR, and a stable of RBs, I just hope we have a line mean enough to march down the field.

the line should be miles ahead of where they were last year. so the running game should be improved immensely. the passing game is still wide open though. i still think we will move the ball, but im not going to look for the offense to be as high powered as they were last year because of all the talent we lost at wideout.

i think Jones is really good, but he is also the benefactor of running in that offesne alongside #5.

i think Coker's future is unwritten and last year was just a glimpse. Coker's for real. If he can stay healthy and keep his head straight, he'll be just fine and i woudln't trade him for FJ. Mcfadden, yeah....

Jones often spells McFadden and they both benefit from a very good offensive line. That might change in the near future.

jakez4UT, i agree totally i mean people are just blind it seems. Well im not, Coker is for real just wait till next year. He is gonna go through spring and this kid is gonna be a lil Reggie Bush NO JOKE. He has the speed and vision you want you backs to have. Coker if you notice, will hit the wholes when they are there and uses that speed to go the distance. Our other RBs aren't seeing the wholes and hitting them. All the good RBs have exactly what Coker has alot of SPEED AND VISION. I am thrilled and can't wait to see Coker next year. Prediction: 1,000 yrds rushing; 2 kickoff returns. With the talent we have coming in our Offense and Defense should be SICK. GO VOLS

With all of the depth we'll have a tb, Ainge will really have to step it up and spread the ball around to open the run for all of them. Can you remember if any of our running backs were able to catch the ball for some big yardage?

It will be hard for him to return 2 kickoffs when he will not be back there. We brought in way too many playmakers in this class to risk our #1 RB returning kicks. Gerald Jones, Kenny O'Neal, Art Evans just to name a few that will very likely be in hunt to return punts and kickoffs.

No offense but I have extensive knowledge on other teams. And not from ESPN or other crap like that. I get it from players and coaches.
I get some info on Pac10 teams from so called scouting experts that I know. I dont watch Pac10 football much so I do admit I rely on them for info.

really. you have the double deep undercover inside scoop. could you post more so we can all get us some of that. now, back to the part about SEC stables of backs.....you apparently spend so much time in the deep cover pac 10 scouting world that you no exactly jack about SEC backs

to say that arkansas has the two best backs in the sec shows how much you know. i will give you mcfaddon, but felix jones is not the second best back in the conference, not by a longshot.
