Mr. Jordan seems to relish the contact. If he stays healthy, the future looks bright at RB.

Jordan, a sophomore, generated 118 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, with two catches for 11 yards. But it was that grinding style that set him apart from other running backs around the country. Jordan’s production was most of what Tennessee did as a team, which amounted to 165 yards rushing on 38 carries.

Jordan was recognized by Pro Football Focus for having the most missed tackles forced with 12 after the first full day of college football this season.

The 5-foot-11, 196-pounder looked for contact once he cut back through the West Virginia secondary, and often got the better of the opponent.

I said that after we signed him as a 2-star last year that he was a NFL RB. I also said he was better than Ty Chandler. A certain some (@KBVol ) disagreed.

Looks like I have been proven right once again.

Tim Jordan is the best RB on this roster.

I can't disagree with you there. With Ty Chandler's present unknown status, we need Jordon to stay healthy now more than ever. And that would mean better blocking at the point of attack and down field. Maybe then he wouldn't have to break so many tackles. But something tells me he's the kind of RB who looks for defenders to run over.

He looked good, but slow down. One game doesn't prove anything.

Last year I said Daniel Bituli was the best player on our defense before the first game of the season. And I was ultimately proven right (eventhough it look an injury for Bituli to see the field thanks to our idiotic former coach).

I have a good eye for these things. Tim Jordan will be the best player on our offense in 2018.

What is your obsession with being right? Congrats?

Very excited by Tim Jordan. He exceeded the hype around him.

Still, losing Chandler was a big blow. We might not have lost too much in the run game with Jordan, but Chandler adds an element in the passing game. I was hoping to see both Chandler and Jordan on the field at the same time, but we'll have to wait for that.

Any proof you said he was better then Chandler

I have no obsession with being right.

Just wanna help you guys out so you know whose good before they blow.

Why do you think I've been going so hard for Dobbs? I'm simply preparing ya'll for his impending Hall of Fame NFL career.

Ask @KBVol. We went at it for a while last year before the season about who would be better. He even gloated a bit last year when Chandler was higher on the depth and got more playing time early on.

But as usual, I was eventually proven right.

My eye for talent is strong. And I've been high on Tim Jordan since I first saw him in pads last year in fall camp.

I think they mean Broken Tackles. Weird wording on that article title.

Jordan's running style reminds me a bit of an obscure running back by the name of Jim Brown.

Nice to see us lead in a good category. We used to take things like that for granted.

Guarantano and Jordan were THE bright spots in our offense. Jordan runs like John Kelly...He "runs angry"...refusing to stop until the opposing mass of the defense makes progress impossible.

Pretty sure London got rocked during the game he got up woozy and never returned. I'd say Jordan and Banks are going to be special. I'd be surprised to see Chandler and London play next game (both might of sustained concussions)

I almost misread the post to say Tennessee led the nation in mis tackles, but that would have been a mistake, but not far from the truth, no?

20 carries for 118 yards and a TD is a decent breakout game against WV for Vols RB Tim Jordan.

What's more impressive is that Jordan leads the nation in breaking tackles.

OL Trey Smith said that Jordan breaking 12 tackles in the WV game really fires him up to work harder, block harder and finish better.

Yes Vols fans, our own RB Tim Jordan currently leads all RBs in the nation with 12 broken tackles.

That's a hard running RB we can be proud of and just think how much better our running game will get as our O line gels and blocks better.

Just another tidbit of some good things we can take away from the WV game and can look forward to getting better as this season moves forward.

CONGRATS Mr Jordan!

Keep running hard young man.

VFL...GBO!!!
