The Tennessee Volunteers have found themselves in several shootouts this season.

A large reason they’ve been able to stay competitive in those games is the right arm of QB Joshua Dobbs, who has been racking up touchdown passes of 20 or more yards.

In fact, Dobbs leads the SEC with 10 touchdown passes of 20 yards or more. No. 1 Alabama, on the other hand, has gotten just two from freshman QB Jalen Hurts:

The wild win against Georgia and impressive comeback against Florida helped Dobbs boost those stats, but he’s still been solid with the deep ball in other games in 2016.

The Vols will need him to make big plays this weekend against Kentucky in order to stay in the SEC East title race.

Dobbs has been a turnover machine this season. He's very inconsistent. QB will improve next year.

Curious as to how many of those traveled more than 15 yards in the air.

He had 1 in each of the first 4 games to Malone didn't he, plus 2 more during our last game. 1 to Jennings against Florida and game winner against UGA. Don't know about the rest though.

He's also led the league in passes resembling skipping rocks....For all that he does good, his accuracy is atrocious

Does he still lead the league in Hail Marys?
I've seen quite a few game-winning Hail Mary passes over the past 50+ years of watching football, but Dobbs' HM to win the GA game was the most impressive and gratifying of all.

It's a good thing your opinion doesn't matter much. I mean you've wanted Dormady to start before the season even started. Without Dobbs, you'd be surprised on how many games we would have lost last year.

So, we should lie ? Just ignore the interceptions? Pointing out the obvious and factual numbers = hate?

OP pointed out the obvious and factual numbers too. He's had a lot of good and bad this season. That should be easy to admit, but some people like you prefer to focus on only one side of it.

Is that what the thread is about? Skipping rocks, atrocious, turnover machine....all in the first 5 posts. And can be found in pretty much any thread.

Have at it. Crap on everything. That's a "fact" too.

What happened to the Dobbs that was on the watchlist as a dark horse Heisman candidate?
