Fran McCaffrey said after the game that every Volunteer player came up to him and hugged him, saying good luck to him and his family and that they would be thinking about them throughout the tourney.

We at VN do the same Coach McCaffrey. Good luck to your family and hope Patrick is feeling better. :hi:

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery's post game quote, "I want to congratulate Tennessee on a great season and a great game. Cuonzo exhibited an unbelievable amount of class. I don't know him that well, but the way he responded to my personal situation. And then after the game, to have the Tennessee players hug me and tell me that they are thinking about me. You know, most kids just want to run and jump on top of each other in the locker room. I was really impressed with those guys and the program that Cuonzo has built there."

That's an awesome demonstration of what I believe to be CCM's most positive attribute. In this age, we need more of that.

Ditto. I think we can all agree the outcome of that surgery was much more important than the game being played tonight. Glad he's recovering well.

It's always there, but it feels especially good to be a Tennessee Volunteer tonight

I agree. We have not seen any of them riding around at 2:00 AM smoking weed and carrying a gun with sawed off numbers. We will let Auburn worry about that now.

That's great to hear. Showing class never goes out of style. I want fans of other schools to have a high opinion of my Vols & I think we have a lot of very classy young men in our athletic program.

Icing on the cake! The win (with the effort exhibited) was great, and the post game comments makes me proud of my school, the team, and their coach.

how old is his son? with all the coverage it'd seem like he must be a really young kid. but the dad is like 60.

I think he's between the age of 10-15...13 I think but I'm not 100%. Love the class from our players and coaches. Before after a win like this we would have one of our coaches flopping around on the ground like an idiot. (After Ohio state game I think it was Forbes) and then the players would have went out partying and racking up charges.
