I like Josh Pate. He's not a homer for anybody, and he usually has an interesting thought or two in each video he posts.

In this one, he picks out five big swing games in the first two weeks of the season. Vols going to Pittsburgh is one of them.

Time hack for him talking about the Vols: 7:34. And he goes into the Kentucky-Florida game right after ours.

Go Vols!

I agree - that Pitt game will set the track for the remainder of the year for UT.
Win and it sets up nicely to go on a tear into the TSIO against Bama...lose and there's a lot of broken dreams and expectations to mend.

I don’t see losing to Pitt as a broken dreams proposition unless you are in the camp that has extremely lofty expectations. Expectations can be such a burden to place upon young athletes, and I think Heupel does a great job of managing expectations for his players. I view the Pitt game as a gateway to improvement and progression. I have zero expectations and I feel very confident this program is in excellent hands.

I am sorry.....but I guess I just do not see how this is going to be a close game.....maybe I have my orange glasses on, but they lost their NFL QB and their star WR to transfer. We have Hooker who did not play the last game. If this is within 2 TDs at the end, I will be surprised.

Same kind of thing people said last year. We can certainly win or we could lose, but it will be a test.

We should win, but we won't boat race them. They have quite a few veterans returning if I recall correctly. They should have a good defensive line, but I expect their secondary to be vulnerable again. We will see how their new QB performs....likely won't be as good as Pickett, and losing Jordan Addison is huge.
