Yep - just saw that. Pretty impressive. We'll set a new UT attendance record pretty easily this season, even with TB's reduced capacity.

Since the attendance record is 25000+ I doubt we will break the record, considering capacity is now around 21,000. We might get to 22 or 23,000 but we won't get to above 24000 ever again.

My guess is that he was talking about season total, not the single game mark.

Ah.... Maybe. We averaged around 20,000 for SEC games last year and 17,000 for non-SEC games if I remember right... Those numbers should be up a little bit this year. I know I will be at more games this season. I didn't go to any of the games before the Memphis game last year because I was so caught up in school.

I am ready to raise the bar, but not by this boards standards.

I do not think anyone here is expecting anymore than any of the expert, media writers, etc around the country. We've got one of the most talented teams in the country this year. The best 3 pt shooter in maybe college history coming back for his senior year. Added superb players in T. Smith and J.P. Prince that have college experience and deepened our bench with 2 quality recruits. Last years fab Freshman are now seasoned Soph. This aint Buzz ball anymore. Get on board for the Pearl Jam. I guarantee you that Pearl and every member of the UT Vols basketbal team expect to win the SEC this year maybe since they do, you should too.

They deserve it! The Vols are going to have a heck of a team. I know the Gators are a couple years out to make a run, but I would like Pearl to get a nice run deep into the NCAA tourny. I just hope the Kentucky tamecats stay at or near the bottom. I love watching thier fan base explode!!!

They are kind of fun to watch, aren't they?

Thanks for shedding your loyalties and just appreciating good basketball. When I do the same, Florida has been a team the past couple of years I've enjoyed watching too. Unlike a lot of posters on here, I actually like Noah a lot. Brewer's the kind of player any team would love to have.

We're just excited to finally get some props.

In the year 2000......Tennessee football will be a shell of its former self, the b-ball team picked to win the east and ESPN Gameday will be live from Commonwealth.

I can't see any team in the SEC with the talent of UT. UT will likely lose 2-3 close conference games, but the rest should be easy wins.

I was with you about rooting for UF, but it was more the Tenn. connection in two of their stars. Brewer, albeit a mental invalid, is a great basketball player and I love his game.

Unfortunately, I ruined my hanky wiping up the hurl that followed my reading the highlighted portion.

That's a dam lie. No way none of that could come true!!!! Must be an ACC fan.
