i think cbs has all the bowls about right.

NCAA Football Bowl Predictions - CBSSports.com

Illinois vs USC in the rose bowl...hope it doesn't get too ugly for the zookers.

I hate that the Rose Bowl always gets the best of both worlds. They always want a Big Ten vs Pac 10 matchup. But with OSU going to the MNC game they should have to take another BCS at large team, but instead they always get to replace the MNC team with another team from the same conference.

And from what I hear, the Rose Bowl is one of the main barricades to having a playoff system.

Didn't someone once say you can't spell Citrus Bowl & Outback Bowl without UT?

Let's hope we offensively open it up against those slow butted Badgers. Maybe even go for it all, a 20 yard post play would probably blow their defensive gameplan to heck.

This actually could work to the Badgers benefit since I figure at least 2/3's of UT's audience would faint if they ever see Cutcliff call such a bold play thus eliminating a lot of UT Fan noise.

I often doubt if Ainge really has the arm to throw beyond 20 yards...but I have seen him toss it out of bounds about 40 yards down field.

ainge's arm strength isn't an issue. why he hasn't stretched the field this year is a matter of opinion. it could anything from the receivers to his hand(but i doubt it)

I think that is a bit of both. Ainge has a great arm, but at the beginning of the season because of his hand he could not throw the deep ball well. As his hand got better he had no deep threat to throw to.

Another glorious year of having to crawl out of bed on New Year's Day to watch a morning bowl game. Great.

I think the short passes worked really well last year because we had experienced and athletic receivers that could get good yardage after the catch. This year, its just a 5 yard catch.

Tampa's a decent town: Berns Steakhouse, Ibor City (Columbia Restaurant---very good), Mons Venus, great places to stay in Clearwater Beach---plus some good clubs. I'll be heading down a few days early for some golf and R&R after a long season.

I hope we come out fired up and drill Wisconsin. We need focus and execution from the coaches & players in this game.

I like it better than the peach. I thought for sure we had the peach. A new years day bowl is a GOOD thing, we are lucky to get it! Now let's do something with it in 08!!!

GO VOLS!!!

part of me doesn't care about this game at all and the other part wants us to annihilate Wisconsin so the offseason will just be a little bit more happy. It's an odd feeling :hmm:
