last week Bryant Denny wasnt full and they are ranked # 1

A filled stadium is not happening for any team with cupcakes these days due to costs, ease of watching at home, etc. Has nothing to do with being good or bad.

People might not have shown up to the Alabama game, but they almost sold out their stadium according to their game notes. Attendance of 100,495 with a capacity of 101,821. UT vs ETSU showed attendance of 96,464. People might not have attended the Alabama game, but they had tickets (presumably a large portion of season tickets) and choose not to go to the game. If UT is offering tickets, it means people didn't already buy them which is a reflection of season ticket sales (team performance) and individual game sales (people choosing to do other things with their time).

Two years ago, UT averaged over 100k for its two OOC/cupcake games (App St and Ohio) and last year it was still around 97k average for the first few two (UMASS and Indiana State) before the wheels came off on the season. Some of the loss might be the cupcake factor, but I don't think performance can completely be ruled out since other teams, in this case Alabama, still sold tickets for their game.

This kind of chit is really important to some of you guys. I guess that's fine, I just don't get it.

I moved my family to Murrels Inlet (just south of Myrtle Beach) to take a job at CCU this year. We evacuated back to east TN, and we really appreciate the offer and the distraction. I plan to bring my son and attend.
Fantastic!! I hope things go well for your family.
