Yeah, but it's a one man zone that allows the other 4 to really spread out, hence protecting against the 3. That's why Oden's so valuable, he allows them to spread a zone amazingly wide or overplay in the man.Wow! This is something I hadn't thought of - seriously. Ohio State's defensive play as of late has been amazing because Matta sits Oden in the paint and plays a zone. What does zone allow for? More open look 3s? What does Tennessee do well, 6 players deep? Shoot 3s. If we're having an above average night from the perimeter, we might have a legit shot here.
