Awesome achievement!

I'm pretty sure the projected top 4 finish was:
Kentucky
Florida
Georgia
Ole Miss

Great work by Donnie and the players!

4 games in and already 10 teams at or below .500. This is exactly what teams like UT need to capitalize on, a very messy SEC.

You know what sucks about that too? Is we could technically lose to any of these teams. All the SEC teams are fighters.

We could lose any of these games, as these teams are scrappers and have played many close games this year:

@South Carolina (next game, must win)
vs Texas A&M
@Arkansas..

I could go on, but I say that because, on nights where we can't hit a shot, we don't have the overwhelming amount of talent to beat a team without scoring. I just think our talent level is around the same throughout the SEC.

SC really became a must win with their loss to auburn.
Would give us our 2nd 100+ loss.
TAM is very dangerous. Thought for a while we'd beat them easily.

Tennessee has had bad luck with Texas A&M. Texas A&m is all about finding the open player and taking good shots. They shoot 45.4% from the field and average 15 assists per game (top 50 in NCAA). We will have to play disciplined defensive to pull that one out. JMO TWIFIW

Sadly yes. The more we go along a few things are evident...

1) UK is in a class of their own, but still vulnerable. UK will lose a game because it overlooks a sec team. Whichever team can beat UK will get a massive resume boost. 20 wins with a UK win is very different than a 20 win year without a UK win. Teams like UT will be playing for a lot against us.

2)This isn't the usual UF team. Billy D better get this team together, because they are headed down a very bad road if they keep this up. A strange, but pleasant sight to see if your the rest of the league besides UK (but even UK got owned last year).

3)3-5 SEC teams will be in the tourney. I think there are legitimately 9 teams that still have good tourney hopes, but it will be interesting to see who collapses and loses to the bad teams.

Got a lot of games left to play I'm thinking that home loss to AL will hurt us but hopefully the Vols can steal another couple of road wins and hold serve at home. if they do that, Vols could sneak into NCAA tourney.

In the expanded schedule they have us with only one win against top 25? Wasn't Butler and Arkansas both ranked team wins? Just curious.

We have to hope SEC teams keep beating each other up because maybe even a 10 and 8 SEC record might get an invite. Everyone says the SEC is stronger this season and should get 4 or 5 teams in so if that happen 10 and 8 might do it.

I'm impressed with Tindale. I have to admit I am a bit of a fair weather Vols B ball fan, but now I want to watch again. THey haven't ben this interesting since Pearl left!

Not for long baby!! Wild kitties better watch out cause Smokey loves him some kitty! Meeeeeeow! Go Vols!

Don't get too crazy.... have you watched KY play. They hammered alabubba with little or no effort. For us to beat ky they would have to have the worse game of the season against us. Possible not probable. Go Vols

With Donnie as our coach, I'm confident that we can beat anybody. Yes, even UK.

You know we made the Sweet Sixteen just last year right?
As a play in team?
We won three tournament games.
I'd call that an interesting season...
