According to this article, we got Shoop for 1.15 a year for 3 yrs, but he has to deal with the $800k buyout himself. So, i.e. he is coming here for less than $900k a year if he has to pay his own buyout.

That would be my guess. UT technically isn't paying it, but the big wigs will take care of it. No way Shoop pays it himself. Why fight for a 3 year deal and give almost half that extra year salary away?

Don't want to take credit for this but I can't remember where I read it. Someone noted that it is almost a sure thing that Franklin goes next year. The fans, the players, the staff and the AD are all sour on him. If CBS were to stay at PSU, they would have to pay all of the remainder of his contract, and every other member of the staff as well. Perhaps no one is paying that $900k.

In East Tennessee I agree. I have moved around a lot the last few years. Quick Trip stores are hands down my favorite places to stop now.
