It is right. But, unfortunately, MH has not handled the two high-profile terminations that he has executed well at all (and that is putting it very lightly). I understand that there are other factors at play, but I think that the reason we have had a hard time (twice!) trying to get a big-name football coach is because potential hires look at Fulmer's resume and know that even if they have signigicant success, they aren't going to be shown much loyalty by Mikey (don't flame me, I 100% agree that it was time for Fulmer to go...I'm just speculating on what potential hires might be thinking).
Similarly, potential MBB hires can now see that Pearl was very successful and that the administration pledged support for him, only to backtract and send him packing (again, I'm not saying that it wasn't the right decision...I'm just speculating on what potential hires might be thinking).
So, we can have all the money in the world and the best facilities, but I don't think that any high profile coaches (of any sport) look at UT and see a place where they can be comfortable for a significant period of time.
