Tennessee moonshine on Ebay ??

Really now - I was a little bored and came across this so called rare moonshine in a mason jar made by a guy named Marvin Popcorn Sutton in Cocke Cty TN - anyone know if this is real ? People have high bids on some of the jars - yeah not a football question but it is Tennessee and kind of interesting

His family has been bottling a legal
version of his "whiskey", but I can't vouch for that particular one.

Good chance it's from his family though. Should be in a standard mason jar with a small note/label attached to the lid.

All of this has been featured on 'Moonshiners' on Discovery I believe.

Yea what he said, supposed to be popcorns recipe. Hank Jr. Is co-owner I believe also.

That's just the stuff Hank and Popcorn's wife are putting out legally. That can be had in TN pretty easily at most liqour stores. The guy on there is acting like it's a rare collectible item.

I think that's the stuff you can buy in the store. I don't know why these are so special. I know they say they are signed, but he died before they started making it.

That "ole smoky mountain" moonshine they sell around town is basically vodka.. it's only like 100 proof.

You are correct about it being bottled and distributed legally now. However, the jars seen on ebay are a limited edition jar because there is an entirely new bottle design that will be used going forward.

You can buy popcorn sutton's Moonshine at any liquer store in Middle tenn (25.00 a jar) Hank Jr. bought the recipe and its made legally in Nashville! Not rare anymore!

My wife took me to Fulmer's last game against UK. In the parking lot outside before the game at a tailgate, I asked if anyone had any moonshine?

Everyone looked like they just had seen a ghost? Not sure if my "accent" freaked everyone out or they thought I was an undercover agent?

Either way, nobody had any. I really wanted to try it. Maybe next time.
