I know kick off is TBA. Anyone have thoughts when kick off time will be. I go to all games, but have a wedding that day that I really don't want to go to, but have to.

I bet it will be a PPV game...so I would imagine we can set the kickoff when we want...I am guessing somewhere between 6-8PM. I am hoping for a 5PM game so we can be done and I can watch the LSU Oregon/Georgia BSU games at 8!

I doubt this will be our 1 PPV game. Possible but the 1st game of the season seems an unlikely candidate

Just moved back to the K-town area, and have a question regarding the PPV games (might be a dumb question). I was in Southern MD before, and could easily purchase the PPV games through DirecTV. Will I still be able to order the game, or will it be blacked out in this area (pending sell-out, of course)?

Games aren't blacked out for PPV. Only for free TV / Cable.

Greywolf knows a ton about this if you want to PM him. I think he said that he thought it might be our PPV game at this point. As for blackouts, the only problem I can see is if it is on CSS. But I believe you can PPV it anyway. Or ESPN3 it on your laptop or xbox/ps3

If you go to a wedding over the game, your man card must be turned in! Or kill your wife for making you go!!

It's not my wife. She's like me, she would rather go to game. It's a friend that I've known all my life and I'm kind of indebted to. It's his fiance that did this, it wasn't his choice. Believe me I'm at a crossroads about it. I just hope it kicks off early and i can speed back to Nashville after wards. Wedding is at 6pm. Come on VolNation I need support.

Had the same thing happen to me last year.

There are 52 freakin saturdays in a year. That leaves a good 40 to do these things.

Thank God my boss is like me...we had ours in may.

VN is here to support you. Look up the thread about how to hire a hitman. Take out the fiance. Your welcome.

Ooh, forgot about the ESPN3 on my xbox (wasn't an option with the crappy ISP in Southern MD, but is now with crappy ATT DSL!)

So, if the game IS PPV, I should still be able to stream via ESPN3? Good thing I'm worrying about this now, since the game is less than 2 months away...

Sorry, this won't work in Tennessee. ESPN3 blacks the game out in Tn., but it's available in all other states.

PPV games aren't blacked out cause with PPV you sort of bought a ticket to the game. BUT I'm not all that knowledgeable.

Now, I don't know if this applies to your area but for some odd reason I saw almost every game available on streaming video in backwoods Kentucky area. So much so I've recently bought the necessary adapters to hook my laptop to my HDTV for future games. So it may be possible even if blacked out you could view the games via streaming video.

The games I saw were all free and usually provided by major networks like MSNBC, ESPN, FOXCBS. I think once or twice I was just tooling around online and saw some sites with a list of games and their times for streaming. Among them were UT games. One was vs. Florida, I think. Next time I will try to remember to keep a record of the URLs for those sites. I wasn't hunting them at the time just surfing and stumbled on them.

A good idea for streaming is to watch Volnation as it seems people here know sites that are streaming Vols games way ahead of time.

Back to DirecTV PPV, you should not have a problem. Best thing is to talk to DirecTV themselves about it. PPV means more money for DirecTV so they surely won't give you grief about availability.

I feel your pain. I was a groomsman in one of my best friends weddings during the 09 bama UT game. I was miserable! I got to watch the 1st quarter that's it.

UT-M was our PPV game last year and it was the first game...soooo don't see why it is a bad assumption?

Montana doesn't suck though.

As for kickoff time/television, it's probably still a toss-up with the Buffalo and MTSU games. However, the MTSU-UT game could steal the SEC Network 12:21 PM or ESPNU 7 PM slot (like Memphis-UT did in 2009) due to that week being an overall bad scheduling week for the SEC outside of LSU-Alabama and South Carolina-Arkansas. The Buffalo game has such stiff competition that week that I'm thinking it takes a PPV slot over Montana-UT. No one knows until SEC Media Days, though.

If the Montana game is on PPV, expect it to be at either 6 or 7 PM ET. So, yeah, if you want to watch the two best games of the first week in LSU-Oregon and BSU-UGA, you'll want this to be on CSS earlier in the day.
