Tennessee might hire Chuck Smith? (from 2 weeks ago)

Yes, we all know it's a possibility. But this thread says he has been hired. Which, at this point, is untrue - false - incorrect.

Tomorrow, it most likely will be true. Until then, let's hold off on starting any coaching threads.

Some people in here think "TN Hires Chuck Smith" is on par to "The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow" regarding predictability.

Joe Vols needs to rename to Joe Blow.

Like how you worded that SprinkBok...we should def wait until it is formally annouced rather than speculation after the all the debacles we went thru the past 3 weeks concerning rumors for this and rumors for that!!!

And this is another reason why there should be a minimum post count and/or tenure before posting a thread.

Nice to see someone saved a little face by posting the link on GVX of the possibility.

FWIW, I hope we get CS. He is a beast!

Ha ha, see the title has changed to "might".

Nice one Joe but the damage is done. I guess your thread would have been deleted like the rumor one just got canned if you hadn't. :D

If true we could continue to anger UGA fans for years to come. With his ties to the state of GA we could steal some of the top DL from them with chuck on board.

The Sackman cometh!
If you don't think the Atlanta Falcons all-time leader in sacks with 58.5...mentored multiple DL draft picks prior to drafts as well as current N.F.L. D-Linemen can't coach or sell himself to recruits...especially in the state of Georgia....you're NUCKING FUTS!

Just another reason why the minimum # of posts required to start a new thread should be moved up to 100+

Hyams has confirmed the Dooley hire. DD will be the new coach at UT. He's trying to find out when the presser is...

The thread is old as everyone knows and at this point I'm not believing Wilcox is our DC until i see him in orange. This whole things has been a fiasco.

Does Chuck Smith even really want to be the coach? It is a FULL time job, and thus he would not be able to do anything else (no comentary, no NFL consulting, etc.). He may be a good coach, but he may not want it bad enough to devote all of his attention to it. Of course, I could be wrong too.
