Tennessee Men's Basketball Team Better than Most Think

They *were* improved from last year.

They *lost* their leading scorer.

Uh, they still have terrific balance. Losing Brown isn't that good, but if Mercer can get straightened up and Gaines and Humphrey and Bliss and Singleton bring great size down low

They'll be decent at best. They could have been an NCAA team, but they won't be going dancing this year.

I think a good road test will be at Memphis, the team will have at that point have its oan personality.

yeah, let's not get carried away. the names and faces have changed, but the biggest problem FL is going to have this year is youth. they have plenty of talent......
their talent level has dropped drastically. they were great because any one of the crew could beat you on any given night and a couple of them were defensive beasts. They don't have that any more, not even a little bit.

their recruiting has been just fine. they are young. that's the biggest issue FL will have.

i'm not saying they are going to be factors or not. but i don't think you can write them off either. they'll win a few games they probably aren't supposed to.

and maybe have a shot at bid.......who knows.

their recruiting has been fine for the past couple of seasons, but you just don't ever replace what they just lost.

never disagreed with that at all. they absolutely have big shoes to fill. what they had the past two seasons, obviously, doesn't come around very often. i don't see FL winning back to back NTs or 3 conf. titles in a row anytime soon.....so, don't get me wrong. just more or less saying they will still be competitive with their talent, with youth being the hump.

ths year, they're young, which should/could/would be their downfall as it relates to post season play.

Im so glad to see the bb program doing this well
seeing every one speak of how well they will do
is a testament to the great job pearl is doing
but my take on it is they made the sweet 16 last year
and thats where they are at antill they prove otherwise.

Should win the SEC Regular Season.

Think they will break into the elite 8 but this is totally speculative since we have no idea of seed, region or draw.

There is something about this team with the new additions and the gained experience of the players that leads me to believe that this team is the real deal.

When they Gel is going to be a sight to see and I hope they peak at the right time. I see alot of pressure taken off of Lofton and he will be able to do even more than last year. There is a lot of balance on this team. I do wonder how the lost of D. Bradshaw will affect this team.................

Comments about Tournament both SEC and NCAA is teams of old.

Pearl from 2nd to 3rd round to ?????? for this year
