Nice. So my argument was Memphis has more Final Fours and Elite Eights than UT. What does this have to do with that?

And they still have zero titles. The same amount as UT. For a school to hang its hat on hoops like it's a Ky, UNC or Duke, it's funny to see zero trophies in the trophy case.

In other words what you are saying is exactly what i was saying. He can't be fired and he won't be fired. The Lawsons recruiting and coaching have sorta taken over the program. It doesn't matter about wins and losses for awhile. It matters to make sure the Lawsons come to Memphis. So thats 4 or 5 years more of Pastner. The big money people won't buy him out ever as long as he can recruit inner city Memphis. He can do that. But he can't win!! It's a tough deal there.

And also add this to the list of predictions: Pastner won't get fired but if he were to quit and move on (which he could do) then Daddy Lawson is the next Head Coach at Memphis!!! Tic Price would be so proud!!

Oh, they're also down 15 points to SMU with 6 minutes remaining, at this rate they may struggle to make the NIT.

Memphis basketball is a joke. We would beat them. That program is a dumpster fire and Pastner signed a 7 year extension at the end of last season. It makes me appreciate Tyndall even more.

Everyone knows my opinion of Pastner. He's just an average Joe that wears a designer suit and calls himself a coach.

Ok boys, we need to be careful here lol. The drumbeats are getting louder, and WE DO NOT WANT MEMPHIS TO FIRE THAT IDIOT PASTNER!! He's been the gift that keeps on giving for years. He needs to suck less just long enough to keep his job.

He's lost control of the team. But because he signed a 7 year extension and because he has another pair of AAU ballers coming in along with their dad, Pazz will get another year thankfully. And of course, they will be busts too.

How can these recruits watch Memphis and not know that the team is basically a rudder-less ship? It seems glaringly obvious that the coach sucks. Thankfully, he'll be there at least another year :)

Not sure why we even care. Memphis still gets (and will get) almost anyone from Memphis they want, we don't play them head-to-head anymore, and they don't compete with us for many players outside of Memphis.

Designer suit? LOL. I like Josh as a person, but I don't think he wears designer suits. I think Cal had to show him how to dress when they were together for a year.

It is a dumpster fire right now, and the natives are very restless. I think they would owe him almost $10 million unless he accepted a buyout. He is here for at least another year or two.

I think that ship has finally sailed with Pastner. Austin Nichols is probably the last of the hometown natives to stay. It's a shame for Nichols too. He had offers to Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, and Indiana, and he threw his career away.

Agree, but I think he likely stays at Memphis with Pastner, and he's got 2 that are gonna be enrolling next year iirc, doubt he pulls them outta Memphis after 1 season.

Definitely. Lawson will be coaching at Memphis, as long as Pastner is there and I don't see Pastner being let go because of Lawson and his two sons coming in.

And no the Lawson twins will not save the program. They'll still be the same ol' AAU team.

Honestly I think anyone that would replace Josh would retain Lawson, and I don't think the Lawson's care whether Josh is there or not. Now the MASSIVE buyout the clueless tigers gave Pastner is a huge hurdle so you may be right-he may be there another year no matter what.
