I have never been a big NBA fan, but the games can be very entertaining. The playoff games are especially entertaining. They put on a show.

Josh may want to start winning some games if he wants to keep his job. Blown out by Baylor and losing to SF Austin at home? Oh Lawd.

His job status was brought up on Parrish's show. He will probably only be on the hot seat by the administration if he fails next year. As Parrish said, there is probably only one guy that can buy out Pastner right now, and that is Fred Smith. Then he said, I have been told that Fred probably doesn't care that much about basketball to write that big of a check. So, he isn't going anywhere.

Right now, Memphis is trying to keep their football coach. They will offer him a raise and probably want to pay what it takes, but money alone may not be the reason he leaves. He will leave for a better job with better status and facilities.

I was really impressed by Tyndall's post game interview after the Butler game. He talked about his gameplan of "taking their legs" and really grinding on that PG for Butler for 40 minutes. It's obvious he had a strategy and didn't abandon it when Butler built a lead.

You just don't hear this kind of stuff from Pastner after games; win or lose. It's always "well, the ball just did/did not go into the basket. That's why we won/lost."

Is Memphis a tourney team? Is it NIT for them? Are they going to have a winning season? I can't believe with Top 5 talent like they have they could be as bad as they seem to be. Go Vols!!

It doesn't appear so at the moment. I wouldn't say that this team has top 5 talent (top 25? 15?) but the talent is there to be better than they are. Coaching is not.

At this rate we'll have a winning season but barely.

There's no way they don't have top 25 talent, yet are nowhere near a top 25 team, and if talent is the issue is that not Pastner's fault? He's been there long enough to build a consistent contender team.
