Is Sapp going to be a Safety or a LB because hes got the frame to be a stud OLB.

With Christian Harris, A.J. Johnson, and possibly Lamar Dawson getting into the mix.

I can dig that.

That might be the worst 2 deep in the SEC. At least in the bottom 3. We better hope they can land Dawson and Greg King can get healthy. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Dawson start next year and AJ Johnson be in the 2 deep at the very worst.

Vareen is a RS Sophmore or Junior, but I can't remember for sure.

I'm not sure how he woudn't be in the 2 deep then and a guy like Mitchell-Thornton, who will probably never play a meaningful down would be included. If he's in the 2 deep then they are in big-time trouble IMO.

Won't we be running most sets with 4 LBs this year?

I seriously doubt it. If anything I think you'll see more 4-2-5 than you would see anything else. If they want to get the best 11 players on the field next year on defense there will be only 2 LB's on the field most of time.

Considering Wilcox typically runs a 3-4 defense, I would assume we'll see many sets with 4 LBs.

I seriously hope that our offense can score a lot of points on a regular basis. Our depth/talent/experience, especially at LB, is just scary.

I was under the impression that we had moved passed the "switching to a 3-4" discussion.

MH is right, anyways. Running 4 LBs would not be in our best interest at the moment, even with the likes of A.J. and Dawson thrown into the mix.

I agree. Linebacker just looks horrible on paper. Among the returnees it's by far the worst 2 deep on paper I've ever seen Tennessee have.

The lack of speed and athleticism is just mind boggling. Makes you wonder how they ever got into this position.

Crump and Probst may shock the crap out of us. I feel a lot better about them than I do Johnson, NMT and King. I watched some replays of games and watched specifically for Probst and Crump. The boys can play. For true freshman who were never going to see the field according to a lot of VN. They did really well.

Has everyone given up on Askew? He was touted a bit like AJ Johnson when he signed

Hasn't been able to learn the play book and LV said months ago something along the lines of he is just not that interested in football.

Second year in the same system may help though.
